Chapter Forty-Five-"This is a Tomb

  I was in my cell washing my sword thst I haven't really used I heard Rick talking to everyone on the lower leave but wasn't really listening not intell Daryl started talking

  "I'll get up in the guard tower"Do I really wanna be in a fight with the man I loved when we could die any day now I didn't know if I wanted to die knowing thst Daryl thought I hated him

  I sighed shaking my head I hadn't realized I had been crying intell a tear fell on my hand I wiped my eyes "Hey"I froze and looked up at Daryl I bit my lip

   "I told you I would leave you alone"He said shaking his head"But that Governor can come in at any moment and I just....I'm sorry for what I did"

  I looked up at him with pitty"you left for your brother I get it your loyal"I said with a smile he walked in futher"can I sit"I nodded and he sat down

  "I forgive you Daryl"He looked up at me with shock"we might die in the next couple of days"I said honestly looking down"I didn't want you to think I hated you if we did in fact die"

  He sighed and shook his head"im never leaving you with my own choice again"I nodded slowly"Im going to trust you on that"I smiled at looked up at him"I love you"He glanced down at my lips and back up at my eyes

  I leaned up and kissed him he slowly frabed my hips one of mybhand went to his chest and the other to his hair

I smiled against the kiss it wasn't rough it was more of a passionate kiss full of love and I didn't realize how much I had missed his touch he pulled away with a sigh"Rick asked me to be leader"He smiled with a nod

"He told Me"he let go of my hips and I grabed his hand"I told him we should leave so I think we are"he looked at the door then back at Me"Rick didn't say anything about that"I sighed looking down

  "Maybe he changed his mind"I said shaking my head"oh he just didn't tell us yet"I shruged ans looked down"I need a nap"I said with a chuckle Daryl nodded and layed down on the bed

"Come here"I smiled and crowled back up to him and layed my head in his chest I was near the wall Daryl hadn't raped around my shoulders and it didn't take me long to fall asleep in hid arms

Daryl pov

  I looked down at Athenas sleeping figure with a smile she had been asleep for thirty minutes now I was so thankful she had forgiven me for my stupid mistake I should have never left her

I leaned down and kissed her head before I picked up and arrow and started playing with it Athena moved slightly in her sleep grabing a hold of my shirt

  I looked up when Carol stuck her head in the cell with a smile she looked over at Athena her smile growing"Looks like you two made up"She said leaning on the frame

  "Yeah"I said looking down at her her eyes were closed and she looked so peaceful"Haven't had a chance to say I'm glad you came back I know she is two"Carol said noding her at two Thena

  "To what all this"I said looking around the gray cell I never liked to be locked up"This is are home"Carol said walking up to the chair next to are bed This isn't our Home it's are Death bed

  "This is a Tomb"I say with a smile shrug Thena moved around slightly I froze and looked down hoping she didn't wake up when she didn't I looked back up

  To see Carol looking up"Thats what T-Dog called it"He looked so sad I still can't believe we lost T-dog in the beginning I was an ass to him but grew to like him

  "Thought he was right"He is right That's why Thena wants out of here she dosan't want everyone to die"Till you found me"I can't believe how strong she was sitting in that door for days we all thought she was dead

I smiled up at her softly the room went silent and I looked back down at Thena who had drooled on my shirt I wanted to chuckle but didn't want to in front of Carol

  "He's your brtoher"I looked back up her as she ended the silence but he's not good for you"She was right I have always done shity things when he was around

  I looked down at my lap not wanting to look at her"Dont let him bring you down"I finally looked back up at her"After all look how far you come"She said looking over at Thenas sleeping form

  I looked at Thena two with a smile Carol started to chuckle witch had me chuckling myself Thena moved dou to the vibration from my chest witch had me freeze

  "I'll let her sleep"Carol said standing up I nodded as I watched her walk out of the room I started to play with her hair petting it slightly I loved her with all my heart

  I pulled the blanket over her more making her snuggle inro me not wanting to be apart I hated how she felt that she had to tell me she loved me because she thinks she gonna die

I wished we didn't have to worry about that be we do I mean in this world we always have to sleep with one eye open unless your Athena then you sleep with both closed

I was glad she felt safe enough to just fall asleep on me like this and it helped me with my stress but right now I gotta find out a way to keep her alive for as long as possible
