Louise's POV (during the Gala)
"Kierra?"
"Yes, mother?"
"Don't give me that cold treatment. You know what and our family with the Stevens."
"She has nothing to do with them, mother, they're no longer engaged."
"Did you know her?"
"No. She's some girl I met."
"Hmm that's strange the way you look at her, is not just some girl."
"I think you have too much to drink "
"Kierra Louise Atria, let me tell you a thing or two. You know I can drink the whole bar without getting drunk and secondly, I am your mother and I know when you're lying. Now tell me the truth." She demanded
"She's ..she is a girl. Argh. How do I say this? As I mentioned earlier she's the girl I met at the coffee shop. She's the one who picked the bag I gifted for your birthday."
"Oh! excellent taste I like her already. Then?" She raised her eyebrow "I know there's more, spill it."
"Fine. We saw each other again, in a restaurant she was with her sister. I felt at ease and comfortable with her. The way she holds herself is hypnotic. She has this aura that she's the kind of woman who keeps you on your toes. Anyway, we just met again tonight. I saw how Lucy Stevens cornered her earlier."
"So you never knew who she was?"
"No Mom, I only know her first name and you know me, I don't care whoever is in the business industry. "
"You know I'm here to support you right? If you like her pursue her since you mentioned that she's no longer with that Stevens."
"Let's see Mother, I'll go home first?"
"Okay, Goodnight Darling." She kissed me on my forehead
"Goodnight Mom."

Stacie's POV
"So? How was your night?" She asked I don't know pero kinakabahan ako.
"Uhm..fine it was fun. How was your trip?"
"Good, just a little tired."
"You know we could've postponed this, para nakapagpahinga ka muna."
"This is our first date, even if it's not in public. I wouldn't miss this."
"Liv, I want-" but before I could finish someone knocked
"Oh, the food is here."
We were eating in silence. I can feel that there's something wrong, at hindi ko maiwasan kabahan. Does she know already? I checked the articles and there's no news yet about the Gala last night.
"Liv, are you okay?" Hindi maiwasan magtanong
"Stacie, do you trust me?" Tanong niya na ikinagulat ko.
"Yes, of course." Sagot ko agad.
"I saw you Stacie, I was in the Gala. My client attended so I decided to go there. Why didn't you tell me you're a Gonzales?" Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi niya.
"You said you love me, but not trusting me. Without trust, there's no love."
"It's not-"
"No Stacie. You love the idea of me a lot more than me as a person. Your actions speak louder than your words. Your instinct to run. I think you just need more time, I'm sorry but I can't just sit here forever waiting for you to break my heart ."
