Chapter 31

Stacie's POV

Kasalukayang nasa office ako ngayon finishing all the paperwork that needs to be done, dahil malapit na ang engagement na ihahanda nnng mom ni Louise Hindi ko alam ang dapat kong maramdaman, pero I need to this. Pero this not what you want Stacie saad ko sa sarili. I'm torn between what I want and what needs to be done. And it's mentality exhausting.

Habang nasa malalalim akong pag iisip ay bigla naman pumasok si Stella.

"Ate, Dad said that the Atria's are throwing you an engagement party, I'm going to help plan," she excitedly said

"It's fine, Stella, it's nothing, Grand."

"Ako bahala, speaking of which saan mo ba gusto?" Tanong niya

"Kayo na bahala, you can plan it out with Louise's mom."

"Okay, I will."

As we went through all the wedding themes, possible venues and after-wedding parties. She went also to make arrangements with Louise's mom. Me and Louise were working together to make our companies work together without complications and be the best that they could be. Sa sobrang busy hindi ko na namamalayan ang oras, araw at buwan na lumilipas. Wala na rin akong balita sa kanya, if she's okay at kung naka move on ba siya?

Before I knew it, the day of the engagement party was here. Pero andito pa rin ako sa office busy and making sure everything is settled.

"Oh, Ate are you ready for tonight?"

"Yes, I think so."

"Alam ko you're still thinking about her, who knows Ate baka Louise is the right person for you. And I heard from Tita Katherine that her youngest daughter will attend?"

"I'm not sure, maybe. I heard na hindi naman daw siya mahilig sa ganito especially hindi din sila magkasundo ni Louise. I just hope na there will be no drama tonight."

"Don't worry too much. Just try to enjoy okay? At excited din ako if ever makapunta yung sister niya."

"Why?" I asked curiously

"Curious lang ako how she looks like. You can see naman how hot Tita Katherine is, kahit my edad na at kailangan ko pa ba I describe si Louise?" Taas kilay niyang sagot

"Whatever, I just want to rest after all this."

"And don't forget na sasama din kami ni Emman sa Bali and Ate, I brought your dress na gagamitin mo tonight. I have to go pa sa venue. See you." She said and left.

We decided na dito na lang sa Manila I held ang engagement party. Stella and Tita Katherine decided to rent a house actually more like a mansion sa sobrang laki at lapad nang garden.

After a few hours, I arrived at the venue and I decided to prepare myself. Sinuot ko naman ang dress na binigay ni Stella. It was a black dress with a slit on the side of my legs. After fixing myself, someone knocked.

"Come in."

"Oh wow, you look so beautiful," Louise said

"Thank you," I shyly said

"Are you ready? They're all waiting for us."

"I think so," medyo kinakabahan ako I don't know why.

"Hey, just be yourself okay? Nasa tabi mo lang ako." Pag along sakin ni Louise at tumango lang ako.

We went downstairs and met everyone. Including her extended family and friends. Business associates at iba pang tao within the society. The guests are around 70 or more. Isa isa pinakilala sakin ang mga kamag anak nila and even Dad introduced me with his friends na galing ibang bansa. Pero hindi ko naman maalala isa isa ang mga pangalan nila.
