Stacie's POV
I woke up with her arms around me. It felt right, and It felt good. But I knew it was too good to last.
My phone rang, and medyo nataranta naman ako when I saw who's the caller and it was Louise.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Stacie, sorry to disturb you. My mother wants to meet us today. The contract for the merger is ready. We both need to look at it before we sign it. Do you want to come over for breakfast?" she said
"Okay, I'll be there in an hour or so," I said
"Great, see you."
Napasapo ako nang ulo sh*t, sh*t i have to go. When Im about to move biglang nagsalita si Liv
"Sorry, am I keeping you from your fiance?" I saw anger in her eyes, and her jaw clenched.
"Liv, please don't." I don't want to argue with her
"I'm so stupid!" She said angrily
"No, I am. Last night shouldn't have happened."
"No, it f*cking shouldn't have!" I can see how mad she is her hand curled into a fist
When I'm about to answer her, I realize that my ring is gone.
"F*ck my engagement ring."
"You gotta be kidding me! Am I a joke to you, Stacie?!" Alam ko n mas nadadagan pa ang galit na nararamdamn niya
"Liv-"
"What?! F*ck!" She cursed but she still bent down and looked for the ring
"Liv, I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say." I said at tumayo na siya
"Say that you didn't enjoy it. Sabihin mo sakin mas gusto mong gumising sa tabi niya o di kaya sabihin mo na hindi mo ko mahal!" Nakikita kung pano namumuo ang luha sa mga mata niya. I'm hurting her again.
"I can't!"
"Then why are you doing this? Why can't you stop? Why do you keep on playing the role they wanted you to play?!"
"I don't know, I just can't."
"You can Stacie, you just chose not to, and you're breaking my heart." I saw how the tears fell in her eyes
"Liv, I want you. I don't want this mess, especially I don't want to hurt you."
"I can't let you go, Stacie. I tried, and I tried to move on. None of this matters without you. So, I decided to fight for you instead. I will not let you go without a fight."
"I think this time it's really over Liv. I'm with Louise now."
Kinuha niya ang kamay ko ata nilagay ang singsing.
"Just take this godforsaken ring, Stacie."
"I have to go, I'm sorry." I gathered all my clothes without looking back. As I arrived at my apartment, I took a quick bath and ready myself for the meeting. I'm thinking of seeing Louise. I can't help but feel guilty. After an hour I arrived at her house.
"Good morning, Stacie."
"Good morning."
"Are you okay?" She asked
"Yes, I'm fine."
"Sorry to call you early, Do you want coffee?"
"Yes, please."
"Oh, Stacie, glad you're here. I just need a few more things to sort out with this contract." Her mom said
"We need to discuss this, Mom."
