Following the beacon of light that was her younger self in that beautiful white dress, Buffy's bare feet continued along the mixture of grass and twigs as she made her way through the familiar woods. They were going back to where she was created, where this demon side of her had truly been born.

The place of her re-birth.

The spot she had woken up in after 147 days of peace and the place where she had completed her transition into a true demonic hybrid.

7 Years of Hurt.

"I told you, I'm a Vampire Slayer." Buffy repeated for what felt like the tenth time as she and her mother faced off in the kitchen.

"Well, I just don't accept that."

Buffy scoffed in disbelief "Open your eyes, Mom. What do you think has been going on for the past two years? The fights, the weird occurrences." Joyce's face faltered slightly at the rise in her daughter's voice "How many times have you washed blood out of my clothing and you still haven't figured it out?!"

"Well, it stops now!"

A piece of Buffy's heart cracked into a million pieces, angry tears glistening in her eyes, as once again, her mother refused to believe her or even hear her out. Her mother wanted her to be normal, she didn't want to even hear about her being anything but.

Knowing that she didn't have long till Angelus released Acthla, Buffy snapped in frustration, trying desperately to make her mother see the truth that was right in front of her eyes.

Her mom had been ignoring the truth for years.

Hell, the first time she had tried to tell her parents they had thought she had lost her mind.

"No, it doesn't stop! It never stops!" Tears started to fill Buffy's eyes as she forced herself to keep from crying "Do you think I chose to be like this?"

It had never been a choice.

"Do you have any idea how lonely it is? How dangerous? I would love to be upstairs watching TV or gossiping about boys or God even studying! But, I have to save the world, again!"

"It didn't take long, did it? He backed down! He proved just how weak we make him! I know his weaknesses, I can destroy him!"

At Buffy's words, Elena's face fell, hurt filling every inch of her expression "After everything, that's what mattered, destroying Klaus?" She stuttered, her heart cracking as she backed away, the tears falling more freely through her heartbroken sobs.

As Elena sobbed, Buffy clenched her jaw "He destroyed me, Elena. All I have left is destroying him."

"You had me!" Elena exclaimed as she turned back around to face her sister.

Buffy shook her head, that was far from true, and deep down, Elena knew it too.

Even if she was refusing to acknowledge it.

"I lost you the minute I crawled out of that coffin and you know it. I see it every time you look at me. I am not the sister you wanted. She's dead."

Sure enough, Elena froze and Buffy had to bite the inside of her cheek at the action.

"Is that what you're doing?" Elena sniffled "Trying to make me hate you?"

Buffy just clenched her jaw tightly at her cousin's words. If Elena didn't want to be in her life, so be it.

"Hate me all you want...I don't care."
