Werewolves.

Just like vampires, werewolves were a complicated subject to discuss. Bitten and Born Wolves were similar to the two types of vampires.

It was the simplest way, they could be described.

Just like there were two types of vampires there were two kinds of werewolves.

Though, technically, werewolves of both kinds had been around longer than magically created vampires.

Born, had been cursed by a witch as far as Buffy was aware thanks to the information Willow and Oz had managed to gather.

Bitten-Wolves were more an unforeseen consequence of that spell. Something that could have never been expected, which was now a part of nature, given that there were probably more bitten wolves than born if the multiple attempts by vampires to wipe them out were true.

Yet, despite the werewolf information she had provided the group still seemed to want to make sure that the whole Lockwood thing was real.

Hence why they were all hanging around the Boarding House waiting for a certain history teacher.

"Buffy and Elena mentioned you needed my help." Alaric said as he entered the living room.

He found himself momentarily faltering at the way Buffy and Damon were glaring at each other.

Given that Damon still refused to acknowledge the existence of werewolves despite her evidence, Buffy was furious.

She hated that Damon automatically assumed he was right because he was older.

Buffy was straight-up ready to feed him to Oz on a full moon just to make a point.

Alaric glanced over at Stefan and Elena who were still watching Buffy and Damon, all three of them jumping as Buffy launched a book at Damon's head.

"We are waiting to see what Buffy throws next. Or if she will just snap his neck." Elena answered just as a table was launched at Damon.

"Buffy I swear to God! Stop throwing stuff at me!"

"I'm trying to crack a hole in your idiot concrete head."

Stefan smiled only for his eyes to widen as she reached under the couch and pulled out a crossbow. He quickly sped over confiscating the crossbow "Have been hiding weapons here again?"

First the sword in his bathroom, then the throwing knives in the kitchen.

As Damon purposely moved behind Alaric to avoid getting shot, Stefan placed the crossbow on the table before moving Buffy to the other side of the room. As far away from Damon as possible

"Why the hell was there a crossbow under my couch?!" Damon exclaimed glancing between his brother and Buffy in disbelief "And why does it sound like there is more!"

"Because there is." Buffy snapped.

Until Stefan and Damon signed over the deed of their home to a human, this whole house could be jumped by vampires any second.
And if Buffy was sleeping in a house with an open invitation for all vampires, she was going to have weapons everywhere.

"Until you guys either get some boundary spell on the door or sign the deed over to a human, I am not sleeping here without weapons."

Alaric chuckled before turning to focus on Buffy "As right as your point is, why did you call me?"

Buffy sighed before moving to jump onto the couch next to Elena, laying her feet across the brunette's lap "Damon is being stubborn and wants a grown adult to double prove him wrong and we were hoping..."

"You could shed some light on the Lockwoods." Stefan finished as he moved to stand behind Buffy's seat.

Alaric frowned in confusion as he moved to sit on the couch opposite the girls "Now why would I know anything about the Lockwoods?"

Damon shrugged from his place by the bar "Well, you wouldn't. But you're dead—not dead vampire wife might."

Ignoring the lack of subtlety from Damon, Buffy just reached into her bag dropping down the piles of research that Willow and Oz had sent her onto the table "Isobel researched supernatural creatures, right? That's why you knew about Slayers."

"You said that she had spent years researching this town." Stefan clarified.

Alaric nodded as he started going through all the research Buffy had dumped on the table, he just couldn't figure out why they wanted Isobel's research, especially when they had access to Buffy's Watcher resources.

"Isobel's research here—Mystic Falls—was rooted in Folklore and Legend."

Buffy merely grinned before gesturing to herself "Well, technically I am too."
