Sweeter Than Fiction

First Date

Taylor sits there at the restaurant table, glancing out overlooking the window overlooking New York's skyline as she waits for Travis. It was lucky paparazzies hadn't seen her and she'd cross her fingers they wouldn't see her with Travis as they would leave. Not that the rumours would bother her but she knew if the date went well, she wanted the world to know in her own time. She glances down as her phone vibrates, as a message from Travis pops up,

Messages:

Travis: Hey I'm just about here! Thanks for arranging this!

Taylor: No worries at all! Can't wait😊

Taylor glances up from her phone as she sees Travis walking towards the table. She smiles at him; he looked a little flustered and it was obvious seeing the blush on his face. She also blushed too, feeling some slight butterflies;

"Hey nice to meet you, I'm Taylor!" She greets him; even though the introduction was unnecessary, it was a habit of hers.

"It's so nice to finally meet you Taylor! Thanks for reaching out to me." Travis blushes, not trying to hide his nerves.

"No problems! Thank you so much for coming!" She beams.

Travis sits across the table from her, as he reaches into his pocket pulling out a bracelet. Taylor presumed the only thing that it could be was the one which he had failed to deliver.

"Also I know you already have my number now, but I knew I just had to give you the bracelet. I hope if things work out between us, it will become something we will look back on through the years" He lets out a slight smile.

"Thank you so much, I'll treasure it!" She smiles, admiring each bead.

Travis no longer was so flustered after that moment; in-fact he was grateful that Taylor seemed appreciative of the small gesture. He glances down at the menu, as he asked her,

"What do you recommend to eat here?"

"The pasta is great, do you wanna share some?." She responds.

"Pasta sounds perfect!" Travis nods as the waitress comes over to take their order.

"We'll also get some red wine as well, thanks so much!" Taylor says as they ordered

"People aren't wrong when they say you have a wine-addiction!" Travis jokes as the waitress leaves.

"It's a part of my lifestyle, actually. You won't get enough of it." Taylor chuckles, so does Travis.

"I'm sure I won't!" He winks.

The two continued to speak throughout the rest of dinner, they told stories and boned over their interest. While it was way too early to decide if Travis was the one but it definitely wasn't too early to decide that she wanted to be with him; and Taylor knew she did.

"Also by the way Taylor since I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit!" Travis asks before they leave.

"You bet I'll be there! I'll be cheering and screaming your name from the sidelines so you better watch out!" She chuckled slightly.

"You know I will!" He winks. 

I was meant to do this a while ago but had no idea what to write! Honestly school has been super stressful so I'm sorry if I don't update as often, I literally have 3 upcoming assignments over the next week :( Anyway I hope you loved this, I think I'll start working on Tay meeting Travis' dogs next or maybe a more angsty one!
