LAURENS POV

I slowly opened my eyes, blinking against the harsh, unfamiliar light that pierced through my closed eyelids.

My head throbbed with pain, and my vision was blurred for a moment my breathing quickened with fear.

Panic gripped me as I realized I was in an unfamiliar place, lying on what seemed to be a makeshift medical bed.

My heart raced, and I tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me to prop myself back on my shaky arms.

My mind raced, and I frantically looked around, my eyes falling on a dimly lit room filled with unfamiliar equipment and gadgets.

"Where am I? What happened?" I mumbled, my voice trembling with fear.

As I struggled to make sense of my surroundings, a voice, calm and reassuring, broke through the haze of confusion.

"Hey, you're okay" said a voice that belonged to someone standing nearby.

I turn my head slowly and  spot the  young boy,  who looked to be the same age as me  leant against a rugged almost cave like  wall a few meters from the side of my bed.

The boy was  dressed in a vibrant mix of red, green, and yellow  that formed a striking ensemble that somehow managed to blend both youthful exuberance and a sense of purpose.

The costume bore a 'R' emblem, proudly displayed on his chest.

His raven hair, long and disheveled on top of his head, added a touch of untamed energy to the ensemble.

Despite the carefully crafted appearance of the costume, his tousled hair suggested a certain disregard for the conventional, an echo of rebelliousness that felt fitting for his aura.

The mask covering his eyes held a white film, a mysterious veil that concealed his gaze.

It added an air of enigma to his youthful countenance, as if his eyes were windows into a world of secrets.

The colors of the mask, coordinated with the rest of his outfit, somehow complemented the scar on his jaw, a visible mark of battles fought and challenges overcome.

My gaze lingered on that scar my brain tugging with familiarity.

It was prominent, running along his jawline with a rugged determination that hinted at a history of adversity.

As I locked eyes with him, a flicker of recognition passed through my mind.

I couldn't quite place where I had seen a scar like that before, but it felt oddly familiar, as if it carried a story I should know.

However, the urgency of the situation and the disorientation from waking up in an unfamiliar place led me to dismiss the fleeting thought.

There was something more pressing at hand — my safety and the mysterious circumstances that had brought me into this unfamiliar bed.

the boy looked  down at me with a mixture of concern and awkwardness.

"Who are you?" I asked dumbly , my voice still shaky.

"I'm Robin" he replied, puffing out his chest slightly as if trying to impress me. "You know, Batman's partner"

My eyes widened in recognition.

I had heard of Batman and his sidekicks in the news, but this was the first time I had come face to face with one of them.

"Robin" I repeated, my mind racing "Is Batman here too?"
