Part 39

Sophia’s POV

It is the premiere in a couple hours! I’m so excited! But it’s going to be extremely awkward acting all lovey dovey with Cody, when we aren’t exactly on the best of terms. I guess my acting skills will have to be put to the test!

I don’t think Cody’s too excited about it either, considering we haven’t spoken since last week.

When Alli came back, I think she expected Cody and I to be okay again. She was shocked to see he wasn’t here when she got back. I wish people would stop trying to ‘help’ with my business. I appreciate it, but I need to learn to deal with things on my on. I’m a big girl now.

My thoughts got interrupted when Jonah started shouting for me. “What!?” I shouted, as I sat up in bed, waiting for his response. “Mum and Dad are here!” He shouted. I grinned and quickly ran into the kitchen of the suite to find them sitting on the stools. “Hey sweetie!” my mum said as she embraced me into a hug. “I missed you.” I said into my mums shoulder. We let go and my mum replied, “I missed you too.” before kissing my head. I smiled and walked over to my dad, who had his arms already open for me. I laughed and wrapped my arms around him. “Love you, Soph.” dad said, as he stroked my hair, before giving me a kiss. I unwrapped my arms from around him before kissing his cheek and saying, “I love you too.”

“So, when are your makeup people getting here?” Jonah asked, as he grabbed a apple and took a bite out of it. “Um, like 3 or something.” I said, un sure. “And you’re staying dressed like that?” Jonah said, giving me a playful ‘dirty look’. I looked down at my sweats I replied, “Yeah, why? You got a problem?” with a bit of fake attitude. He put his arms up in surrender as mum and dad laughed at us. Jonahs phone started ringing, so he excused himself.

“I’m going to take a shower, and stuff like that.” I said to my mum and dad before giving them each a hug and walking to my en-suite to take a shower and of how I will act tonight.

I heard a knock on the door and I heard my mum say she’d get it.

I quickly put my hair up into a messy but, and put on a pair of sweats and a vest top. I walked out of my room and into the living area, were I’m guessing, my stylist was waiting for me. I walked in, to see a 25 maybe, year old woman, talking to my mum. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and was gorgeous. 

“Ah, there’s out superstar!” the stylist said as she saw me walk through the door. “Hi, I’m Sophia.” I said, putting my hand out for her to shake. I didn’t want her to think I was a conceited, cocky teenager. I was suddenly being pulled into a hug. She let me go and held me at arms length. “Sorry I’m a hugger. And I’m Karen!” Karen said, lively(?), while grinning at me. “Well, I’m going to talk to Scooter with your dad, we need to sort out when you’ll be in the studio and stuff like that.” My mum said, grabbing her bag and calling for my dad. “Jonah is in his room, so if you need anything, he’s there.”  she continued as my dad walked into the living area, and stood by the door. 

“It was lovely meeting you, Karen. And Sophia, behave.” mum said, eyeing me before her and dad walked out the room. “Okay, let’s go.”

“So, you’re wearing a yellow dress?” Karen, asked. She’s my makeup artist, hair stylist and wardrobe stylist, all rolled up into one. “Well, a very pale yellow. Actually, more like a pale peach.” I said as I watched as she got out all her necessities. “How do you want your hair?” She asked, taking it out of the bun I had it in and brushing it. “I don’t mind. Surprise me.” I said, as I smiled. “Okay then, lets get started.” Karen said as she begun on my hair.

Half way through my makeup, Karen started to talk to me. “So, what is it like dating Cody?” I mentally rolled my eyes at the bring up of Cody before I answered with a small, fake smile, “Oh, it’s great. He’s a nice guy.” when he wants to me. I said, saying the last part in my head. “Oo,! I bet he treats you like a princess.” She said, giving me a warm smile. “Yeah, he’s a real gentleman.” I said, remembering the times, before everything got complicated. “Well, I hope you guys stay together for a long time, you’re quite a cute couple.” Karen said, nudging my shoulder. I smiled small and sat back, closing my eyes waiting for her to finish, 

“Done!” Karen said as I opened my eyes to see her ‘master piece’.

Wow. I actually look okay. “Cody’s going to be on his knees for you!” Karen said, before she laughed excitedly. I laughed nervously and stood up from the chair. “Thank you Karen, I’m going to go and get dressed.” I said, walked into my room.

I got dressed in my outfit (link) and looked in the mirror. I fixed any pieces of my hair that were out of place and put on my rings and necklaces. I grabbed my phone and lip gloss, putting them into my clutch before walking out my room, to be greeted by my mum.

“Sophia! You look amazing.” she said, with a hand over her mouth. “Thanks mum.” I said, shyly. She put a hand on my back and said, ‘C’mon, you’re leaving in a minute, Cody is waiting for you.” before we walked into the living room.

I walked in with my mum to see Jonah, my dad, Karen and Cody sitting on the couches talking. “Hi.” I said, grabbing everyone’s attention. Everyone’s eyes turned to me. Jonah, my dad and Karen smiled at me, while Cody just stared with his mouth slightly open. Cody looked hot. I couldn’t deny it. He had a black suit and white shirt in with the first 2 buttons undone and a hanky in his top pocket that matched the colour of my dress. 

“You look gorgeous honey.” my dad said, smiling at me. “Eh, you look alright.” Jonah said with a smirk. “Wow thanks bro.” I said jokingly. “Yeah, you look beautiful.” Cody said, still looking at me. I mumbled a thanks before Cody walked over to me and took my hand. “We have to go, Soph. You’ll be watching right guys?” Cody asked, my mum, dad and Jonah. “Yeah, have a great time guys.” Mum said, giving us both a hug. “Not too much fun.” my dad said, looking at Cody. I giggled a little as I watched Cody get really uncomfortable. “Yes sir, um lets go Soph.” Cody said, as we said good bye and walked out the hotel suite. As soon as we got into the elevator, we let go of each others hands.

“Don’t start anything tonight. I want to enjoy my first premiere.” I said, crossing my arms against my chest. “I won’t if you won’t.” Cody said back, with a fake smile. I returned it and we both stood there in silence.

Well, tonights going to be fun. Note my sarcasm.
