Y/n had been sailing the seas as a cookie and as a merperson. They've had a lot of fun while they've sailed through the sea. Though, ever since becoming a cookie, they've had a run ins with pirates. They've even met a fellow merperson by the name of Sorbet Shark Cookie!
One day they were sailing the Duskgloom sea, as others would call it. They heard how dangerous it was and how many had fallen due to its aggressive waters. But this was nothing to Y/n! They've seen worse, like Squid Ink Cookie's true form!!
They sailed across the Duskgloom sea, seeing nothing so far. They looked around, seeing the sea as calm as ever. They spotted something shiny at the bottom of the sea. They jumped off of their boat and dived in, transforming into their shark form.
They swiftly swam through the water and swam closer to the shiny object. It was a pearl! It was bigger than they thought. Distance sights is crazy.. They looked at it in wonder as they tried pulling at it.
'It's heavy!!' They thought to themself as they continued to pull the shiny thing. As they tugged and tried to pry the very big, shiny, gem. Though, it was fruitless as they continued to pull.
"So heavy!!" They yelled to themself as they finally gave up, looking down at the large gem.
"How hurtful..." Someone suddenly spoke as something grabbed the poor merperson. Y/n was soon face to face with a giant gem mermaid!
"W-whoa!!" Y/n looked up at the giant gem mermaid. 'She's huge!!' They thought to themself in disbelief as they stared up at the large mermaid.
"Hmm, you're like that naive little child who wanted to become a cookie.. aren't you?" She asked, tilting her head at them as she inspected them. She was rather curious than revolted by them.
"Who allowed you to be like this?" She asked, holding a hand to her chin.
"Uh... I... found this really cool gem.. and it granted me a wish...???" Y/n explained, smiling up at her awkwardly(idk I'm just making shi up).
"A gem? ... You don't say." She muttered as her eyes darted away from them.
"So... what's your name?" Y/n asked, looking up at her. "I'm Y/n!" They added with a bright grin.
"Black Pearl Cookie.." The mermaid, now known as Black Pearl Cookie, replied. She was nonchalant with her words and seemed rather uninterested.
Y/n smiled, as they now knew her name. "Hey, hey, why're so big?" They asked bluntly. They looked up at her, waiting for an answer.
"Well.. My growth is a result of.. my rage for those disgusting creatures.." She replied, clenching her fists tightly, reminiscing about those times... How naive she was..
"Really? Can you shrink down, too?!" Y/n asked, completely mesmerized by her power. They continued to blast question after question at the poor gem mermaid as they excitedly asked her all these questions.
Black Pearl Cookie just surfaced to the waters, spotting Y/n's little boat and plopped them onto the said boat. She was not going to deal with an energetic cookie.
Y/n transformed back to their cookie form and continued to ask questions about her. "What was't it like beain a tem mermaid?? Do you like dis noaw??" Y/n continued to ask with their quirked words as they chased after her on their boat. They were just too curious for their own good!!
Black Pearl Cookie couldn't take it anymore and finally caved in, answering their questions.
No matter how many questions she answered, they didn't seem to stop. This was the reason why she didn't like children... sometimes.
