Description- Mia becomes a big sister

Me and Billy were cuddled up together on the couch while Billy was holding Hope in his arms and Mia was in the floor playing with her toys

"She's so tiny." She's six weeks old so now she's about the size she would be when she would be born had she been born on her due date

"Mommy, when will she be able to play with me?" I looked up at Mia and smiled at her

"Soon, she's little now, but when she gets a little bigger you can play together you'll just have to be easy with her." She crossed her arms and huffed as if she was about to throw a fit

"Well can I at least hold her?" I was about to say no because we've been extremely careful with Hope because she's so small and fragile

"Okay, come here." I scooted over and Mia sat in between me and Billy

"Okay, hold your arms like this, and be careful with her." Billy gently placed Hope in Mia's arms then placed his arm in front of both of Mia's just incase something happens

"Why does she have to have this blanket wrapped around her?" Mia looked up at me and I smiled down at her

"She doesn't, daddy was holding her while she napped so we had the blanket wrapped around her to help her sleep." She nodded her head and looked down at Mia while smiling but then Hope started crying

"Want me to take her back now?" She shook her head and looked back down at Hope

"No, but why is she crying?" I shrugged my shoulders and tried listening for a second

"It's a hungry cry, I'll go get her a bottle." I went to the kitchen and got a baby bottle then got her some formula before taking it back to the living room

"Do you want me to take her and feed her or do you want to give her the bottle." She thought for a second while looking down at Hope

"I wanna feed her." I put the bottle in Hope's mouth then let Mia hold it while Hope drank the bottle

After Hope finished her bottle I took away the bottle then I went to grab Hope out of Mia's arms but Mia just held her closer

"Mia, you have to give her back at some point, I've got to change her and put her to bed." Mia sadly handed her back to me and I took Hope upstairs and changed her diaper and clothes before bringing her in mine and Billy's room to lay her down in the bassinet

"Mia's throwing a fit saying that you took away her baby." I turned around and looked at Billy while laughing

"Bring her up here." Billy left the doorframe and when he came back he was Holding Mia and she was crying on his shoulder

"Come here." Billy handed her to me and she sat on my lap while Billy sat down next to us

"I miss her, why does she have to go to sleep?" I gave Mia a hug and held her hands while we both looked down at Hope

"She needs her sleep, just like you and me and daddy do, but I can assure you that she will be back up in like three hours." Mia looked up at me and my heart broke at her tear stained cheeks

"Can I sleep in here with you tonight so I'll be here when she does wake up." I was about to shake my head and say no but her tears were heartbreaking and I didn't want to cause more

"Fine, but by the third time she wakes up crying you're gonna wish you never even thought to sleep in here." Mia ran to her room and Billy gave me a quick kiss before following her
