Prom

I've been sat in front of my mirror for the past thirty minutes while I'm supposed to be getting ready but really I've just been sitting here

All my life I've planned how my prom is gonna go, perfect dress, makeup, hair, date. And the only thing that hasn't been anticlimactic is the date. Once the day comes around it shows that all that stuff I've worried about isn't as important as the person I'm about to spend it with

The only think that's kept me from just staying in bed all day while eating and reading magazines, is the fact I'm finally going to get to see Billy in a tuxedo

Every day he usually wears jeans, a shirt, and a jacket sometimes not even a jacket, but tonight I get to see him in that suit and tie, then it hit me that Billy's probably just as excited to see me in my dress as I am excited to see him in the tux

I stood up and walked over to my closet where I've been hiding my dress and pulled it out to see the light pink puffy dress that slowly faded into little pink roses

Before I got the dress in I did all the unimportant things and as soon as I got them done I got on the dress then saw that Billy's about to be here any minute now

As soon as I heard his car pull in and the door bell ring I got up off my bed and walked downstairs

"My little girl is going to prom." My mom placed her hand on my cheek and I pulled away from her

"Mom, You've got two more girls to take pictures of, plus a son who may, or may not have a girlfriend when he gets to prom." My mom grabbed her Polaroid camera and the door rung again

"Come on I just want to take some pictures." I rolled my eyes and pointed at the door

"Billy is here mom." She huffed and I walked over to the door and when I opened it I immediately smiled and so did he

"Hey, you two I want pictures." Billy walked inside and as he did he whispered in my ear

"Watch this." I rolled my eyes because I knew exactly what he is about to do, because we have this joke where Billy flirts with my mom and it's super creepy because she flirts back but at the same time it's hilarious

"Hey, Mrs. Wheeler, did you do your hair differently, it's very, very beautiful." My mom blushed and Billy bit his lip while I was covering my mouth trying not to laugh

"In fact I did, thanks for noticing, nobody else noticed. Now I need to get some pictures, you're daughter only goes to prom once in her life." I raised my eyebrows at her while shaking my head

"You have two more daughters!" I finally decided to cooperate and stood beside Billy while my mom took our pictures

"Not as funny when it's you having to take the picture is it?" I flipped off Mike because he was obviously trying to get back at me for laughing at him on halloween

"Mike, won't you do me a favor and get off my dick." Mike rolled his eyes and I heard my dad from the other room yell language at me

"Can we go now?" My mom shook her head then came up to me and fixed one of the straps of my dress then went to whisper in my ear

"I snuck something in your clutch, this family is big enough." I raised my eyebrows and when I opened the clutch I saw my mom put condoms in there

"Eww, gross mom, take these back, we won't do anything." My mom grabbed the condoms then put them back in my clutch
