the stars in the cave

In the still of night, when shadows creep,

And stars above in silence weep,

There lies a place, not far, not near,

Where anxiety and depression veer.

Anxiety, a tempest, a storm unbound,

Whispers of fear, without a sound,

It coils and twists within the mind,

A restless spirit, hard to bind.

It paints the world in shades of doubt,

Fills the heart with an anguished shout,

A constant companion, never at bay,

Anxiety holds its unyielding sway.

Depression, a weight, a burden deep,

A darkness where no light can seep,

It cloaks the soul in heavy shroud,

And wraps the mind in tear-stained cloud.

A silent specter, a relentless foe,

It drains the spirit, a relentless woe,

Sinking the heart in endless night,

Robbing the world of color and light.

Together they dance, a cruel ballet,

Entwined in an unending fray,

They whisper lies, they sow despair,

Creating a labyrinth of stifling air.

But in the midst of this endless fight,

There glimmers a spark, a flickering light,

For within the tempest, the storm, the gloom,

There's hope that pierces through the room.

Courage arises, a warrior's call,

Breaking the chains that held in thrall,

Seeking a path to rise above,

Embracing the power of hope and love.

In the heart's deep chamber, a strength untold,

A fire burns bright, a spirit bold,

Though anxiety and depression may strive,

The human spirit will rise and thrive.
