13: Clubbing Went Wrong

"Valeria?"

Napatingin si Valeria sa gilid kung saan nakatayo si Arden. Thank god she's here. Arden came over to her and grasped both of her elbows. "Okay ka na ba? Hindi mo pa sinasabi sa akin kung bakit familiar ka sa lugar---"

"Let's go." anyaya niya kay Arden. It would be better to just stop talking and thinking about it, or else, she might really lose her mind. "We're here to have fun, right? We should do that." she said while holding Arden's arm. Mataman naman siya nitong tinitigan kapagkuwan ay ngumiti rin at hawakan ang kamay niya.

"Yes, of course!" they both directed themselves to the bathroom exit. "Aside from that pala, may surprise rin ako sa 'yo."

Na-curious siya bigla. "Surprise?"

They were no longer inside the comfort room, so the neon lights and the booming music startled Valeria once again. Hindi na siya nagulat na may mga iilang kalalakihan na pinagtitinginan siya habang naglalakad. There was nothing she could do about it, may mga mata ang mga iyon. Pero hindi na talaga mawawala ang mga bastos sa mundo, 'no?

Making their way to the table, Valeria glimpsed the silhouette of a... man? Medyo malabo pa ang tanawing iyon kay Valeria dahil malayo pa lang naman sila. Clad in a dusty blue solid tee, his legs were spread apart, with crossed arms discernible to her. Higit sa lahat... prente itong nakasandal habang nasa kanila nakatingin.

It's... not him. Isn't it?

She clenched her hand. Her pace slowed, and she felt like stopping altogether, but Arden was pulling her along. She kept chanting in her mind that she hoped it was someone else, that it wasn't who she thought it was.

Huminto sila sa harapan ng lalaki. Spontaneously, he stood tall and locked eyes with her, grinning widely to exhibit his pearly whites. Nakita niya rin na naglabasan ang magkabilang dimple ng lalaki.

"Mr. Evander Alistair---"

"Ms. Valeria Caruso---"

Valeria couldn't help but laugh when they coincidentally said each other's names at the same time. Ngunit mas lalo yatang natuwa si Evander kaysa sa kaniya dahil humalakhak ito ng todo, sobrang lakas--- na parang wala ng bukas! Buti na lang sobrang lakas ng tugtog sa club kaya walang nagkaroon ng paki ang tao na tumingin sa direction nila. Nagugulat siyang napatingin kay Arden habang napapalunok. Whew. I wasn't informed that this guy is like this.

Wearing a plain dusty blue solid tee with a crew neck and beige tailored pants, he looked simple yet stylish. He looked affluent just by his appearance. Although, may pagka-maloko nga lang ang itsura nito and screams 'bad boy vibe', well, siguro ganoon lang talaga kapag medyo bata pa. Matatandaan niya kasi na twenty-four pa lang ito. Besides that, Valeria noticed he had a lot of stuff on him, items like a bracelet woven from silver wire, earrings adorned with silver cubic studs, and another necklace featuring a silver geometric pendant crafted from titanium alloy. His silver quartz watch on his left wrist didn't go unnoticed either. She cast her eyes downwards towards his fingers and was astounded by the numerous rings adorning all three fingers---on both the left and right sides! At siyempre, kulay silver ang lahat ng iyon na hinaluan ng kulay black. Let me guess, hindi niya favorite color ang silver.
