Chapter Forty Nine

The music for the bridesmaids started playing. Enzo and Luna walked in first, Ginny and Theo, Hermione and Tom, Pansy and Draco, and then Blaise was enjoying his role of walking Marilyn, the two were playing tag going up the aisle, when Marilyn would tag Blaise, he would pretend to fall and trip and she would skip down the aisle throwing lily petals. The guests laughed and awwed at the pair. Micah had the rings displayed on a pillow and was taking his role very seriously. When he reached the end of the aisle, Tom picked him up and he giggled his adorable giggle, the crowd chuckled at the uncle and nephew. The pianist changed tunes, Mattheo and Marilyn started walking down the aisle, Marilyn trying her hardest not to cry, nearly to the end, the twins ran from their seats yelling for their dad and grandmother. Once again, the guests laughed. Mattheo picked up Little Marilyn, Micah walking beside his dad, holding his hand. Marilyn went to her place beside Pansy, Micah to Draco, the two knowing they wouldn't be able to hold them when Maddie walked down the aisle.
When everyone was in their respective seats, and standing the music changed.
Micah and MJ appeared in the archway, the guests stood. Theo and Enzo were wiping tears out of their eyes, Blaise, Tom, and Draco were smiling wholeheartedly at her. Mattheo never broke eye contact with her. His jaw was dropped, he didn't even register it when Draco tapped him on the shoulder.
"You good man?"
"Pretty sure I'm looking at heaven." Draco chuckled at his best friend, winking at Hermione and smirking to himself when she blushed and looked away.
"You may be seated. Who gives this young woman away to this man?"
"My wife and I, we're her parents." The officiant nodded and began again.
"If anyone objects to the marriage between these two, speak now or forever remain silent." Draco, Tom, Blaise, Theo and Enzo turned to the crowd and cracked their knuckles, showing their wands. Pansy, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna did the same, only Luna took off her sandal and hit it against her hand a few times. The guests laughed. MJ and Mattheo took each other's hands, smiling widely at each other.
"Let's begin. I understand that the two of you have written your own vows. Who would like to go first?" The guests laughed when Maddie nor Mattheo spoke up.
"Madalie, how about we start with you?" Maddie cleared her throat, Mattheo gave her hands a small squeeze, she did the same to him.
"Here goes nothing." Clearing her throat once again, she began to say her vows.
"You have been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I don't need a piece of paper to tell you how much I love you, our kids, and our family. You once told me that I was the light in your life, you're the light for me. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You're an amazing father, and I know you're going to be an even better husband. I love you, I will always love you, I will always choose you, in this life, and the next." Mattheo wiped a tear from Maddie's eye, resisting the urge to kiss her then and there. He had to wipe a tear from his eye, Draco, Tom, Blaise, Theo and Enzo cleared their throats and handed Mattheo tissues. The guests laughed, Mattheo glared at his friends. He turned back to MJ, clearing his throat for what felt like the thousandth time.
"No pressure or anything man, it is only the rest of your life." Mattheo snapped his head around so fast he gave Draco whiplash. If looks could kill Theo and Enzo would be dead. MJ placed her hand on his jaw, turning his head back to her, his eyes softened, he grabbed a hold of her hand, both seeming to forget they were surrounded by their family and friends.
"Mr. Riddle? I believe it is your turn."
"Right. Sorry 'bout that." The guests chuckled, the twins were standing at their parent's feet, both giggling and being adorable.
"The relentless teasing I'll no doubt have to endure for months on end for this will be worth it." Theo and Enzo looked at one another, they nodded their heads, fist bumped, then turned back to their best friends.
"You are everything to me, our kids, our family, friends, no matter how much they annoy the living hell out of me. For years I told myself that I could never be good enough for you, you taught me what loving someone was like, that someone is you. You taught me to believe in myself. When I first saw you, on the Hogwarts Express, it was like a breath of fresh air. You made me believe that I could be something bigger than myself. I would be nothing without you. You're the mother of our kids, the love of my life and I don't want to imagine what my life, our lives would be like without you in it. With you, I can be the man I always dreamed of being half of who I am now because of you. I love you with everything that I am, I will never stop loving you. It's you, it has always been you, it will always be you."
"Daddy you made mommy cry."
"That not vewy nice dad." The guests laughed at the twins once again. Mattheo smiling at his kids, reaching a hand up to MJ's face, wiping her tears.
"By the power vested in me, and the wizarding community, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Before Mattheo kissed Maddie, Mattheo turned to the boys, the got into some little huddle thing, Micah giving his dad the rings. MJ went to the girls, Pansy 'fixed' her dress, Hermione powdering her nose, Luna fixing the hairdresser, and Ginny quickly shining her shoes. Laughter from the guests was heard, the twins squealing and laughing at their parents. Once the bride and groom were done, they turned back to each other. Neither wasted a second in pulling each other in their embrace. Their lips met in a passionate, heated kiss. Mattheo turned MJ, dipping her, all while never breaking contact with her lips. The guests cheered and whooped, clapping, and whistling. After breaking the kiss, the newly wed couple walked down the aisle, hand in hand, alongside their kids.
They made it.
