While Chanyeol marvelled at the dazzling core, an eerie chill slithered down his spine. A haunting voice echoed in the air, immediately putting him and Ryuga on guard.
Shugosha's voice resonated with a mocking tone, echoing through the chamber, "Look at what we have here - ignorant humans wandering into the sacred realm. How amusing to witness such audacity."
Chanyeol's eyes widened as it focused on the serpent.
Shugosha's appearance was both majestic and ominous. The serpent, Shugosha, slithered in a hauntingly beautiful way, its dark scales gleaming mysteriously. Eyes, glowing with an ethereal light, bore into those who dared to approach. The serpent's size was huge, each movement sending ripples through the shadows that surrounded its powerful figure. The air seemed to thicken in its presence, creating an aura of ancient power and disdain for the intruders.
The serpent deity's eyes glowed with an arrogant glint, surveying Chanyeol and Ryuga as if they were mere insects in its divine presence.
"Did you think you could waltz into the heart of Crescentum without consequences? This sacred place is not meant for the likes of you," Shugosha's voice dripped with disdain, emphasising each word as if addressing unwelcome intruders.
Shugosha's presence loomed, and Ryuga, though familiar, felt a shiver down his spine. Facing the angered deity, he knew today's encounter would be harsher than ever.
Chanyeol couldn't help but marvel at the shimmering silver scales that adorned Shugosha's serpentine form. However, an overwhelming fear gripped him as the piercing gaze of the serpent's eyes focused on him, accompanied by fangs that seemed poised to tear through anything in their path.
Her gaze left Chanyeol and fell on Ryuga's trembling form.
Shugosha's voice echoed with disdain, "Oh, look who's back. The persistent one seeking the core again. And now you bring another insignificant human, thinking they can stand against me? How amusing."
Ryuga retorted with a hint of frustration, as he braced himself to look at her. "shugosha, this is not my first time being here and you know why I always return to you. It's been years shugosha are you never ever going to forgive our mistake"
Shugosha's voice echoed with indifference, "Forgive? you betrayed Crescentum. You betrayed the motto it stands for. Your family's selfish actions led to the downfall of Crescentum. I watched as the land withered because of your arrogance" she spoke with disdain. "Your return here only amplifies your audacity. The core's power won't be at your disposal, Ryuga. It's a reminder of your family's betrayal and arrogance and the cost Crescentum paid."
Ryuga's eyes hardened, acknowledging the gravity of his past. "Shugosha, I only wish to undo the damage caused. The core's power can rejuvenate the land, restore what Crescentum once was"
