"Ok how the hell is Alex here right now and why do none of you look surprised at all" Dustin yelled d
In absolute terror

Alex eventually calmed him down and began to explain everything

"You're telling me all this time you were alive in Russia!?" Dustin yelled looking between the three

"Trust me, I was shocked as well but its Alex" Max said looking at the boy

He discreetly slid his hand into hers and squeezed it tight

"I was going to tell all of you at the same time but it's just been a bit hectic" Alex spoke after

"I don't really want to explain it right now maybe later?"

" um yeah sure whenever is fine but we need to get back to the situation at hand."

" Hold that thought, since that majority of the party know I'm alive I should go check in on El, it feels like I haven't seen her in forever" Alex said grabbing his coat to walk to hoppers house

The three others looked at each other in pity.

They said his name a few times yet he didn't pay mind to them

"Alex you probably shouldn't-" Max started louder

"Why? She's probably gonna want an explanation too-" he continued rambling over max opening the door

"Alex just stop!" She yelled and he turned around in confusion

"El isn't here anymore." Max continued

Alex chuckled "very funny" he said jokingly once again heading for the door

"They moved to California" Lucas told him straight up

Alex paused at his statement and turned himself around to the other

"Whose 'they' ?" He asked annoyed at the fact that his sister was no longer here and someone had taken her

"Joyce, the Byers they moved after you um" Max couldn't finish her sentence because then she would be allowing the memories to come back. She didn't want to.

"But why I mean- like- what?" Alex asked stressed
He couldn't understand why they left

He started mumbling things, his head spiralling
He didn't know if Hopper was still alive or if he was sent back to the prison and he hoped to see El and know that he still had at least one person in family there with him.

"Alex" Max whispered getting his attention she looked worried

The boy didn't realise his breath had quickened and his eyes scanned the room as if to run away

"I'm gonna go out" Alex spoke and the group barely heard him as he grabbed his jacket and left.

Alex walked and walked, he payed no attention to where he was going just lost in his thoughts. Eventually he came to a stop and when he looked around to where we was he saw familiar trees and lo and behold was the destroyed cabin

There was tiny bits of toys and books that remained everything else was gone.

Everyone else was gone.

A tear fell from Alex's eye he didn't want to face it acknowledge that he was left here by himself so he grabbed the weed from his pocket rolled it and put it to his lips.

The feeling of relief was something he hadn't felt in a very long time. He just sat again the tree that faced where he previously would call home and cried.

Max, Dustin and Lucas were still in the Sinclair house worried about Alex

"Look I know you said that's Alex but doesn't he seem different to you" Dustin asked curious

"He- he's just been through a lot of shit and for him to just find out his sister isn't even here. I don't know but I wouldn't exactly be normal either" Max said

"We should go look for him" Lucas said standing up

"Ok let's go."

The three walked around forever searching places they thought he would go to

First the arcade, then their middle school, then any of the parties houses and finally Wills old house

"Where could he be?" Max asked frustrated

"Max calm down and think, where did he spend most of his time?" Lucas asked secretly stressing what if something happened to him, that these new adjustments were too much for the brunette boy

"He was with me I guess" she mumbled

"Ok. And where did you guys go?" Dustin asked carefully

Max stood for a minute recalling all her memories of her and Alex where did they go?

Suddenly Maxs eyes widened in realisation

"He went back home." She said sadly

Dustin turned to face Lucas sighing all of this, Alex should've never had to go through all of this

They all walked for a while and the sun was now almost setting

And finally they reached there destination

Hoppers cabin.

They was Alex still sitting there staring at the destroyed cabin. Only now he no longer was smoking weed but chewing gum to hide the scent.

"Hey." The group said

"Hey" Alex said in response

This was more of a filler chapter just for me to switch into the story line that's why it's quite short sorry
