Acaronar has no designated update day. It's just whenever I can get it out, and it's the only fanfic that has no designated update day. For the others, I'm just bad at being consistent this month.

Trigger warning: Talk of suicide.
"Judge Kang, about that bus driver from yesterday." Chief Justice Ji Yoon-sik said, getting the attention of Kang Yo-han and Bae Eun-mi. "How about we indict him without detention for now and put him on trial?"
"Why do you want to do things that way?" Yo-han asked him.
"With the Live Court Show just around the corner, we wouldn't want to gain attention. There's also what you did yesterday too. Not to mention your freaking out, Ms. Bae." Yoon-sik told the two.
Eun-mi frowned at his words, and so did Yo-han. Eun-mi opened her mouth to ask him what exactly he meant by singling her out as well, but Yo-han beat her to it.
"My assistant did not have a "freak out," as you call it. She was incredibly stressed and concerned due to the sudden event and my not being where she left me. I don't appreciate whatever insinuation you're trying to make about her." Yo-han told him while staring him down.
Eun-mi leaned back in her chair and let out a sigh. Ga-on looked back and forth between the two as he tried to figure out just what exactly their relationship was to each other.
"Judge Kang, I'm only concerned about how you and Ms. Bae will look to the public now." Yoon-sik told him without so much as giving Eun-mi a glance.
Eun-mi chuckled at that as she drummed her fingers against the ceramic cup full of steaming tea. The citrus smell coming up from her chosen poison, Earl Grey tea, filled up her nose.
"Justice Bao of the 21st Century shows rare sympathy for bus driving maniac that nearly kills preschoolers. A man with a heart of gold, or another mouthpiece for the government? Is that what you want the headlines of every news article to say?" Eun-mi asked him as if he were the world's biggest idiot.
"No one's saying to show him compassion, Ms. Bae, but we can't afford to lose face." Yoon-sik told her. Eun-mi just let out a hum as she lifted up her cup of tea and began drinking it.
"Then there's no reason to be concerned about that. The more noise there is, the more attention we'll get. Others deploy noise marketing as their strategy. It's fair that we detain him for something like this." Yo-han told the older man. He then looked over at Eun-mi, who looked more annoyed than a moment ago. "Eun-mi, can you—?"
"Yeah, yeah, I got it. I'll squeeze him in wherever there's a gap in your schedule." She told him, cutting him off from finishing his sentence. While one would expect Yo-han to be irked by the interruption, he only looked at Eun-mi with amusement.
"Well, may I add in something?" Ga-on asked, making everyone turn to him. "That bus driver's three-year-old daughter is one of the victims of the JU Chemicals case. Not only that, her grandmother took her life as a result."
