KANG/BAE MANOR
20XX

Christmas wasn't a known holiday within the walls of Kang manor. In the days of Kang Yo-han's and Yi-suk's childhood neither could say that they had ever celebrated the holiday with their father. Certainly not with Yo-han at least as all who were in the know knew that the older Kang man held no affection for his youngest.

It had changed when Yi-suk grew up and married his wife who would eventually give birth to Elijah. When the small family had lived in the manor, Yi-suk left the holiday planning to his wife as he had no clue how to properly celebrate the holiday of joy and warmth. In those short few years, Kang manor was filled with love, familial warmth, and any of the previous darkness seemed to be gone forever.

But then came the church fire that changed the lives of Kang Elijah, now an orphan, and her only blood relative left, Kang Yo-han. The two were now traumatized, swimming in anger, darkness filled up their hearts, and neither had ever even tried to celebrate the holidays.

But then came Kang Yo-han's perfect match, Bae Eun-mi.

"Sweetheart, don't you think you're going a bit overboard?" Yo-han asked Eun-mi, while watching her decorate the near comically huge Christmas tree in his office.

Really, it was one of what must have been twenty trees she had ordered and brought here in a truck. Eun-mi and K, aka Sang-ki but Eun-mi still called him K, bought themselves in charge of decorating the manor for the upcoming winter holiday. Now, every door in the manor had either a sparkly wreath with electronic lights or a natural wreath hanging on the front. Fairy and rainbow lights now decorated the halls with the promise of more decorations to come.

"Absolutely not! If anything, this is nowhere near enough." Eun-mi exclaimed from the top of the ladder she was using to put the ornaments on the tree. She looked over the tree before noticing a spot that seemed particularly empty. "Babe, move me over there. I need to put another crystal ornament over there."

Yo-han let out a sigh before he rolled the ladder on wheels over to the spot his wife wanted. Eun-mi looked the box of ornaments over before she took out one that looked like a reindeer in mid-flight before hanging it off the tree branch. She then nodded to herself before she looked the tree over once more.

"Sweetheart, I love you with all I have and I'm concerned. I think you have a problem." Yo-han said while watching his wife with a concerned look on his face. "I mean, really, what more could there be to do?"

"What are you talking about? Did you miss all the stuff I got for the gingerbread men, the hot chocolate with whipped cream and cinnamon, the candy canes, along with everything else?" Eun-mi asked him before she climbed down the ladder.
