"You've waited long, everyone. The Live Court Show is back after delays due to an unfortunate accident. I'm looking forward to what sensational verdicts will be delivered this time. Well, let's now get started on our second trial." The announcer for the show declared into the microphone. "Please give a big hand, everyone!"
Eun-mi politely clapped along with everyone as they welcomed Yo-han, Jin-joo, and Ga-on's replacement to the show. She put her finger on her Bluetooth earpiece, which connected her to the techroom and the PD. She was trusting them to run the show effectively with just her notes and not her ordering them around like a drill sergeant.
"Before we commence today's trial, I have an announcement for all of our citizens." Yo-han said while standing up on the podium behind the table.
"Hope you enjoy the present, puppy." Eun-mi muttered to herself with a small smile on her face.
The panels behind the three judges changed from the show's logo to pictures of Ga-on in his uniform looking incredibly serious. She was sure that Ga-on was embarrassed and out of his mind if he was watching the trial from the living room of the Kang manor.
"Unfortunately, Judge Kim Ga-on will not be able to join us today. Please pray for Judge Kim's return in good health. He needs your support." Yo-han told the live audience and the row of camera's broadcasting the trial to the country. "Some may not want these trials to continue. Among them may be powerful people or those with powerful people backing them. So you, my fellow Koreans, are the only ones who can protect us."
And as predicted, the audience began clapping and cheering for Yo-han and the rookie judges. Most of them even stood up from their seats and shouted out their support for the judges. Eun-mi stared at the three and, at some point, locked eyes with Yo-han, who had told her to sit in the front for this trial. They gave each other a small nod before breaking eye contact, and Yo-han sat down in his chair, signaling the start of the trial and making everyone sit back down in their seats as well.
"This court is now in session." Yo-han declared to both the room and those watching the show outside.
