💌 29 - worry

Days past, Sunoo was walking through the hallways on his break.

He turns a corner without looking, too distracted at searching for any updating news of Heeseung's killer.

That was when Sunoo suddenly bumps into somebody. They both fall to the floor.

"Ow, my back..." the other boy groans.

Sunoo winces, he stares to see who may he have bumped into. "Sorry, I wasn't looking—  oh! Jungwon!"

Shocked, it has been quite a while since he has seen Jungwon. Ever since the day of his performance, he's completely blocked Jungwon off his life.

But... due to the shocking event that happened this week, Sunoo couldn't stop thinking about Jungwon.

"Ah, hey Sunoo."' He responds, getting up from the floor as he offers Sunoo a hand.

Sunoo gets back on his feet.

There was a moment of awkward silence between the two. They stare at the floor. That was until Jungwon decided to speak up.

"Listen, about what happened back at your performance. I wasn't in any part of Heeseung's plan to humiliate you."

Sunoo looks up from the ground, he looks to the boy.

"I didn't know he would go so far to harm you... after you ran out I wanted to come and check up on you. Make sure you were okay... but I understand why you thought I was pranking you, after everything I put you through. I'm not trying to blame you at all."

"I see..." Sunoo mutters. "Well, honestly that doesn't matter anymore. I'm already past it." He shrugs.

"You... you are?" Jungwon widens his eyes.

"Yeah... I mean, I'm still hurt by it. And yes it was humiliating, drenched in blood in front of an audience— but! I'm... somewhat relieved to know you weren't an accomplice or something."

Jungwon sighs in relief. "Thank goodness."

"But that doesn't mean you're fully forgiven, punk." Sunoo lightly punches Jungwon's shoulder. "You're still a dick for what you've done."

Jungwon smiles. "I know, but I'm ready to change. For you, of course."

Sunoo's heart skips a beat, cheeks turning to a light rose pink.

Jungwon quietly giggles when he realizes he can still make Sunoo flustered. Even if Sunoo tries his best to hide it, Jungwon can see right through him.

"Anyway— I've also been wondering... how have you been lately?" Sunoo asks, twiddling his fingers.

"Me? Oh... I mean, there has been a lot going on..." Jungwon says.

"I would assume, y'know, after everything that has happened this week..." Sunoo says.

Jungwon nods. "I just can't believe it... I lost my best friend. I don't even know how to feel about it. I mean, he's an asshole for sure but... he didn't deserve to..."

Jungwon whimpers and his lips tremble.

"Hey, it's okay... what happened was terrible, going through a friend's death is going to be hard but you'll get through it." Sunoo rubs his back.

"I just hope that the killer gets found, sooner or later." Sunoo wishes.

Jungwon agrees in silence.
