💌 38 - suspect

"Dead?!" Mr. Min shouts.

The detective nods. "He was not only murdered, but tortured in the most grotesque way. He was alive for five hours before he lost consciousness and died."

The detective pulls out a sheet. "The autopsy report describes many forms of deformities to the face and limbs, with some bodily parts ripped off."

"His eyes were gouged out."

The screams of Mr. Kang were heard as his world fades to black.

"His fingers and tongue were cut off."

He feels the pain of his hands get warm and sting. He lost sense of taste as blood was the last to savour.

"His genitals were ripped from his crotch."

He will no longer feel the sensation of pleasure ever again.

"He was stabbed, penetrated in his anal orifice."

The worst pain is the pain you inflict on others.

"Mr. Kang also suffered—"

"Okay! I've heard enough!" Mr. Min shouts, shocked by the information given by the detective. "Just... who would do such a thing?"

"Well..." The Detective clears his throat. "I believe that your former... dead, teacher has quite some history with many individuals who would be responsible of his death, due to potential grudges perhaps?"

Mr. Min tilts his head. "Grudges?..."

Detective Joon nods.
"Who does the background checks on teachers, Mr. Min?" He asks.

"That would be the district board." He answers.

"Do they also take in account of any criminal records? Charges?"

"I believe so, yes. They are very meticulous when it comes to our teachers, as we are a prestigious school."

"Well, I'm sure they got a hell of a "prestigious" system to ensure who gets to teach the students don't they?" The detective chuckles.

Mr. Min furrows his eyebrows. "I... don't quite understand."

Detective Joon's expression goes serious. "Mr. Kang was a child predator, sir."
"We have done a thorough investigation of his house. Files, photos, videos, endless amounts of explicit content."

The principal's eyes widen.

The detective pulls out a file. "This right here, was a case made back in 2021. He was allegedly accused of sexually assaulting one of his students at his old school. During the trial, Mr. Kang was found not guilty of his crimes. When the case was closed, the victim attempted suicide 3 days after the trial outcome was declared. The student was never given justice."

"Oh god... that's terrible." Mr. Min finally spoke up.

"We are afraid he may have been doing it secretly with the students from this school as well, judging by some recent files we have seen under mhis computer dating from one week ago from today. He was preying on his students behind closed doors, Mr. Min."

"If only I had known in his records... he wouldn't have... ugh god... this is terrible. I have no words."

"Don't stress yourself, Mr. Min. He won't be able to cause any trouble anymore. The next thing to do is to notify the school and the district board. There must be better precautions to make sure a dangerous person like Mr. Kang will never be in contact with students and children again."

Mr. Min sighs. "I understand, and what about the person who killed him?"

Detective Joon bites his lip in thought. "That's what we are trying to figure out."

"Do you think this killer might be connected to the murder of one of my students?"

Detective Joon hums. "Possibly. Under further investigation, we believe we may some leads of who may have murdered Mr. Kang."

"According to what?" Mr. Min questions

"I've mentioned earlier about the tapes we've found in Mr. Kang's house. Many tapes were labelled with names. I believe one of these individuals may be responsible for the murder. And these individuals, could possibly be one of the students studying under your school."

"I don't believe this! None of my students could have caused his death, no one would have done something so gruesome."

Detective Joon sighs. "Mr. Min, a student and a teacher were murdered, there can't be any more risk of casualties. Anyone can be the culprit, but if I were able to question some leads, we can be able to rule people out. There is no better solution than this."

The principal bites his tongue. Detective Joon was right, the more this continues, the more deaths it will cause.

"...Okay."

"Great, I'll start questioning some students, but first I'll have to run some names with you first. I have the tape of Mr. Kang's most recent victim."

"What's his name?"
