"That settles it then" Rosa begun looking between the two "you're gonna work for the company. Being alone in such a huge house sucks. Believe me." Adeline looked on helplessly not wanting to disrespect her. She really wanted to do something with her time but working for Noah didn't seem like the best place to pass her time. Carla had suggested it once before she returned to Japan with Henry but she blantantly refused with the excuse of trying to remain incognito and that was even when no one knew her but now that excuse sounded lame to Rosa. She had moved to the Aldywich unable to take the loneliness since Kieran's passing. Though Adeline was happy she did, she couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable. It was clearly weird for a grandmother to move in with her grandson's two night stand partner when he had a home and a pregnant wife. It might make one think something was really going on.

"Ok!" she replied only catching the part she said about not being what she was anymore and needing sleep. She allowed her kiss her good night and led her to the stairs waiting till she disappeared. Sighing, she walked back to Noah and dreaded being alone with him. Benjie had already retired for the night so there was nothing to keep her distracted.

"You should get going. It's late."

"How long are you going to keep this up?" Noah asked slightly irritated.

"Keep what up?"

"Don't play dumb. You know what I'm talking about..."

"Ok, fine. I've been purposely avoiding you since...since..."

"I said I loved you"

"Yeah, that...why did you have to say that publicly. I'm being labeled a husband thief and your pregnant wife is a very unfortunate victim of my african witchcraft. I even have anti fan pages. The world could've done without your confession, Noah. I know I could so please go to your wife and don't go through with that divorce. It won't change anything between us." That being said she made her way upstairs. She didn't want him to see the tears glistening in her eyes or the truth she was sure showing in them. Before she got to her room, she was yanked into his chest. He was tired of hearing of how he hurt her. He was hurt too, hurt that he couldn't be with her and touch her like before, hurt that she saw him as nothing more than a big mistake. Before she could protest, he kissed her roughly backing her up against the wall. She pushed him back roughly and slapped him. He rubbed his stinging cheek and looked intensely at her while tears flowed freely down her face. He walked closer till there barely was any space between them. He gently touched her cheek making her cringe.

"I'm not giving up" he said as he held her chin up and leaned in to kiss her again this time gently. She didn't shy away this time as she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck. Just as she was getting into it, he pulled back and walked away without another word. She groaned in frustration feeling foolish. She really wanted to hate him but that path was too difficult to take. If anything, it made her love him more. You reap what you sow, the bible told her but she couldn't help but want what she reaped out of the chaos she'd sown. Maybe she needed to return to Ghana for awhile she thought as she went to her room. After taking a long shower, she climbed into bed but sleep evaded her. About an hour later, she gave up and decided to skype Ben. Talking to him brought a bit of normalcy to her overturned life, she realised and sometimes wished he could be more than normal to her since normal didn't seem to do much for her. Grabbing her laptop, she turned it on and made the call. After a few rings, his smiling face popped in the screen, his unfaltering smile in place.

"Hello stranger!" he greeted cheerfully making her laugh

"Hello!" she greeted

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, why do you ask?"

"Your eyes look bloodshot as if you..."

"What?"
