Chapter 22

RECAP-

"Sam, are you kidding me?" His arms around me tightened as he continued to talk, "I've tried breaking things off with Charlie, but she wont take no for an answer. She told me it was cold feet, that we should just move the wedding to the end of the summer. I tried stopping her, but she just doesn't get it. I don't want her, I want you. Do you understand that?"

I finally pull from his embrace. Try harder, I thought. I stepped back to look at him but he moved closer once again to put his arms around me, "I try even hinting around to her that I don't want her. We don't sleep together, we don't even make love." Danny finally drops his arms from around me, "I haven't slept with anyone since the night I took your virginity." His eye looked at me hopelessly, "You drive me utterly insane when your around, because you are the only one that I do want."

Danny crashed his lips on mine, I began to protest but his lips were like a drug that kept me going. They were the only drug that kept me going. His lips were so soft around mine. He ran his tongue across my bottom lip prying my lips open so he could taste me. I wanted so badly to taste him, so I parted my lips a bit letting him taste. His hands tangled through my hair as he held my neck. It was the best kiss I would ever encounter. My heart beat sped up as his arm snaked around my back pulling me in closer. I felt the hardness from his erection as he pushed closer to me.

That was quick. I pulled away from him quickly, I couldn't let him keep thinking that he could make things better that easy. "Izzy is in the car. We should leave."

Danny didn't move for a couple of seconds, he kept his head pressed against my neck breathing hard. So I pulled away from him and he sighed, "Your right."

The ride home was miserably quiet. Izzy was passed out, talking every couple of minutes in her sleep. Danny kept his eyes on the road as he drove, and I sat in silence trying my best not to look over and glance at his beautiful features. My mind crept back to the kiss that we had just share, it was wild, dreamy, sweet, and passionate. I could help but wonder if what Danny and I had was just a little passion, that would pass when summer ended or if it was something real. Only time would tell, and time is almost up.

Chapter 22-

I stood in the living room of Izzy and Danny's dark house. Danny had just taken Izzy up to her room to put her in bed because she was totally wasted. It was odd, I drank more than her. I mean, don't get me wrong I was still too drunk to go anywhere but I wasn't ready to go to sleep. I was wide awake.

I walked into the kitchen and looked out the two glass double doors. I watched the waves from the ocean crashing ashore, and it took everything I had not to open the door and run as fast as I could towards the ocean. It was so inviting.

As I put my hand on the door knob I couldn't help think but last time. I almost didn't make it up the rocks. I didn't care though, I wanted to feel the waves crashing into my skin.

I turned the knob and opened the door, before I could step out Danny stopped me. I swear, he and Izzy both had the worst timing. "Where are you going?' He asked, looking at me peculiar.
