3 year old Caleb smiled at his mother who had just walked through the door.
"Hi baby."
Kate smiled as she kicked her shoes off.
"Where's daddy?"
"In his office!"
"Alrighty then."
She smiled and kissed her son's head before walking into her husband's office where he was typing something.
"Hey babe."
She smiled and kissed him as she wrapped her arms around his neck .
He smiled and kissed her back eagerly.
"How was the meeting?"
"Boring." She sighed and sat down.
"How so?"
"Gosh Rick, I thought being Captain of my own precinct would amazing but it's so..boring!
All I do is meetings and.."
"You miss being a detective."
"yea." She sighed.
"I'm sorry hun."
"It's not your fault, I'm the one who accepted it."

Rick didn't get to finish because Abby and Noah came running in.
