Trigger Warning
Mentions of excessive vomiting, as well as the removal of blood via an IV~~~~~~~~~Your POV~~~~~~~~~
I knew they hadn't been working as well since the last couple of full moons, but it wasn't to this extent. Not like this.
The Smile Dip packages would still have to have some sort of effect, or at least try. At the very least, it stayed in my system. But I'd never thrown it back out.
It didn't matter how many I ate to keep it concealed, every packet I had, I'd just vomit it back up, over and over again. I was pale and clammy and sweaty, kneeling in front of the toilet to make sure I didn't dirty the bathroom with pink.
And the rash was only getting worse.
It was easy to tell what was going on; the transformation was getting here faster than it's supposed to, stronger than before. The question was why.
Sure, with my memories of the years ago back, I wasn't as worried to keep it concealed. But it was still something I'd rather not happen, I was still a beast and I still went on a rampage, even if the deaths and distraction were accidental.
I barely heard when someone knocked on my door, washing my face for both hygiene and to try and not seem as dead as I did. Then I put on my thickest jacket and opened the door.
"Morning, (y/n)," Mason greeted with a smile. "Great uncle Ford announced a family meeting, so I came to get you since.." He seemed to scan my face, his smile fading and his eyes narrowing into worry. "Hey, are you okay..?"
"Y-yeah," I said, trying to dust myself off. "Just woke up feeling a little sick."
"The full moon's tonight. You think that might be it?"
"Probably." Then I shook my head. "If it's a family meeting, wouldn't I be intervening?"
"Actually, when Mabel and I got there, he specifically asked for you."
I didn't like the sound of that. Still, with the twins around, what was there to worry?
Letting out a sigh, I stepped out and closed the door behind me. "Then we better not keep him waiting."
Mason took my hand, which I had already covered with gloves, and led me to the living room where Ford was arranging some papers. Once he saw us, he set them aside and sat down. "Ah, children! Come in, come in."
Mabel was already sitting at the other end of the table, peeking into Ford's bag. "Ooh, mysterious scrolls and potions! Are you going to tell us we're finally of age to go to wizard school?! Is there an owl in this bag?!"
"No!" Ford snatched the bag away. "I can assure you, if there's an owl in this bag, he's long dead."
Mabel immediately deflated after hearing that, but before we could comfort her about it, Ford continued. "Now tell me, children, do any of you recognize this symbol?"
He lifted up a scroll, one with a symbol we recognized all too well now. Bill Cipher in all his awful glory. The sight alone sent shivers down my spine, and my rash seemed to increase as well.
The twins reacted similarly, with Mason being the one to voice our thoughts. "Bill.."
Ford's eyes widened. "You- you know him?!"
