Chapter 26

KAT'S POV

I wake up with my phone ringing, I check the clock on my nightstand and see that it's 7am. Who would want to talk to me at 7am on a Saturday?

I answer without seeing who is calling.

"Yes?" I say.

"Happy birthday honey." I hear my mom's voice on the other side of the call.

I open my eyes wide open and realize that is my birthday. I can't believe it's already the last day of holidays, you really lose track of time when you're having fun.

"Thanks mom." I answer.

"You're so grown up." My mom starts with her clingy things.

"Yes mom I am." I say smiling.

"I am so sad we can't be there with you." She tells me and I know she is about to cry.

"I know mom, but there are only two months left for me to get back." I say trying to comfort her.

"Your dad is here too, he wants to talk."

"Ok mom. Bye."

"Bye sweet."

"Happy birthday honey."

"Thanks dad." I answer him smiling. My dad doesn't like to talk over the phone, just like me.

"So how is everything going on?" He asks.

"Good, I will be back to school on Monday."

"Ok honey, I won't take more of your time. We miss you."

"And I miss you dad. Bye." I say and he hangs up.

I roll to the other side and try to sleep again. After 10 minutes I realize I can't again so I get up.

These past two weeks were amazing, I was with Niall every day and I couldn't be more happy.

While I get dressed I receive two calls, one from my sister and the other from Amy. They are both sweet and tell me how much they miss me. I miss them and I miss home, but on the other hand I have Niall here. I am sure I will have to go back to Australia for college and I don't know yet what we will do.

When I get down to eat breakfast the kitchen is empty and I assume that everybody is asleep.

I grab a yogurt and eat it while I check my Facebook, Thomas sent me a happy birthday message, so sweet.

When it's around 9am my phone starts ringing, Niall is calling and I answer right away.

"Hello." I say to him.

"Happy birthday Kitty Kat." He says with enthusiasm and I smile.

"Thank you."

"I need you." He continues.

"For what?"

"I can't tell you, but I need you to come to my house in an hour."

"Niall, today Lisa, Robert and Nicole will take me for lunch, I told you. Unless you want to join us, you can meet Lisa and Robert." I answer.

"Hum Kat..." He starts but I interrupt.

"I was just kidding." I say and he sighs relieved.

"You scared me, not that I don't want it but I think it's too soon to meet your parents, even though they are not your parents, but you get it."

"Yes I do." I say laughing.

"So will you come here?" He asks me.

"I will, but I can't be there for long." I reply
