Chapter 24

Kat's POV

It's been two weeks since Niall left to go on tour and I miss him so bad.

We have been trying to talk as much as possible but it's not always easy. When I am at classes during day is actually when Niall can speak because he is not busy. And when it's night and I can speak is when he is busy and at the concerts. So sometimes we only have to say a quick "hi and i love you" but I can survive with that, what I really need is to hear his voice.

I wonder what he is doing right now while I am walking to school with Nicole. He is probably sleeping unlike Nicole who is not sleeping but hasn't said a word to me yet. She hasn't actually had a proper conversation with me in these two weeks. Since she found out about me and Niall, she only has spoken to me when it was necessary. At home she only speaks to me when their parents are with us, I actually want to thank her for that because I am glad her parents hasn't noticed what is going on between us or they would start asking with questions. I walk by her at school she ignores me and usually we don't walk together to school. But today we had to do it because Robert asked us to stop by at a store and choose something to Lisa because today is Valentine's day and he doesn't know what to give to her. Typical. 

Until this morning I hadn't  remember that today is Valentine's and I which I didn't remember at all because when I found out I felt sadness. It's my first Valentine's Day with Niall and we don't get to spend it together.

We find store and walk in, the whole store is decorated with cheesy Valentine's things. Nicole barely speaks to me but we end up choosing something really cute to Lisa. We walk out the store and walk to the school without saying a word, this silence is annoying me but I won't say anything. Nicole would probably beat me if I said somehting.

When arrive to school both of us go on our ways without saying a word, again. I walk to my locker and find Emma next to it.

"I was waiting for you." Emma says hugging me. "Happy Valentine's Day." She shouts.

"Yeah yeah." I say rolling my eyes.

"Sorry, you're single and I forget how frustrating this day is." Emma says teasing me.

If she only knew... I actually been debating with myself if I should or should not tell Emma about me and Niall, I haven't my decided yet. I guess eventually I will have to tell her, but I will know when the moment comes when I feel ready to tell her and most important when she is ready to hear it.

"So what did Damian give to you?" I ask her while I open my locker.

"Oh you know, chocolates, a cute card and we will go out after school." She says with the biggest smile on her face.

While I try to find the book for my next class I spot something that doesn't belong to my locker, something red and full of glitter. A red card full of glitter. I open it and immediately recognize the handwritten.

"Emma..." I say looking at her and trying not to laugh.

"What?" She asks with a surprised look.

"I know it was you." I say looking her in the eyes.

"Oh okay, I admit it was me. I didn't want you to feel bad." 

"But I am okay don't worry about me."

"It's just that, I am dating, Matt is dating and you're alone." She says looking down I am about to answer her when I spot Nicole and Matt passing by us holding hands. 

I quickly put the card back in the locker and try not to make eye contact with them. I finally look at Emma when they are out of sight. 

"What happened between you and Nicole?" Emma asks me.
