"Are you sure that you'll be ok?" Haylie asked me for the hundredth time. She was wearing a green velvet dress with a waistline corset. And golden high heels. "Because I can cancel and have a girls' night, just the two of us."

Cameron gasped dramatically while placing a hand over his chest, "You would ditch me for your cousin, Haylie? After everything we've been through, I'm offended."

Rolling my eyes while throwing a grape at him. "Relax, Babe, she's not ditching anyone."

Turning back to the mirror on the wall to fix his bow tie. One thing about Cameron is that he sure can pull off a damn suit, "Haylie, you have to go. I'm gonna be with the team for team building and will be ok."

She stared at me for a moment, thinking my words over. It was five-fifty the afternoon, and the day has been amazing so far.

Spending most of the afternoon with Chelsea before she went to cheerleaders' practice was amazing. Comforting her and fixing our broken friendship was just what I needed.

Especially with the whole thing that we went through in high school. We needed to fix our friendship because I missed having her as a friend than anything. And there's no more 'selfish Jenna', from now on, whatever Chelsea needs, I'm gonna be there for her. No matter what.

But tonight is the time when I want to be completely alone. Not having any friends, family, or teammates around. I need to be alone to end this day.

"Alright, fine," Haylie finally gave into my front, which I knew she would. She always falls for it, even Cameron. "Just promise me that you'll have a great time, ok?"

That was a promise that I couldn't keep, but I'll try to, "I promise."

Walking her and Cameron to the elevator, hugging them goodbye for now. Smiling at them, the golden doors closed before letting out a breath.

Almost running back into the penthouse, locking the door before jumping into another shower. Then I threw on a navy blue dungaree and a dark green long-sleeve turtleneck with ankle cowboy boots.

While styling my hair, I ordered two pizzas. One was a Hawaiian pizza with hot sauce, and the other was a sweet spicy chicken pizza. Both are large with a thick crust. Those came half an hour before Tobby, the side hustle guy's time.

After paying for the pizzas, and placing the boxes on the counter, I stared at them. Not opening them or taking a slice, just stared at them.

The phantom of Carter played in my mind. No matter where we were or where the pizza came from, the order was always the same. Sweet spicy chicken pizza was his favorite.

A sad giggle came from my lips when I remembered how Junaid and Chelsea tried to get him a new pizza love. One that he'll be more obsessed about, just as much.

Using most of their savings, they brought so many pizzas for him to try. Having him eat twelve different pizzas with different toppings. Successfully he liked the beefy lover's pizza than the others.

Once that decision had been made, Carter had the rest be given to people living on the streets. He never liked wasting food, he would always make sure to never take it for granted.

Opening the box finally, I took three slices of the chicken pizza. Then three slices from the Hawaiian pizza. Placing the other slices in the take-out boxes that I'd asked for from the kitchen staff.

After placing the last pizza slice in, Tobby came with the alcohol. Letting him and his cleaning cart in.

He took every single six-pack and placed them on the counter, "Eighteen packs of different beer, a bottle of Black Snake Kangaroo Pechuga. A bottle of Manly Spirits Dry Gin and Pink Gin. All from below under, Australia."
