I've been living on campus for a few weeks now and I still get surprised by how quick a week can pass by. The last time that I've checked my phone's calendar, it showed the day being Monday when I got my aunt to stay true to her promise.
Then Saturday was my most favourite day of the whole week as I spent the whole morning and early afternoon teaching Gabriel's dance class my choreography.
And now it's the week of Spotlight which led Tuesday being extra dance practice before having to practice with Dylan at his house the next day. Guess time really fly when you're having so much fun that you fall off track with it.Though this week cam quickly for everyone in Sapphire including myself, it was crunch time for everyone with the first night of the show being right on the corner and Mrs Robertson is determine to make sure that everyone represent their choreography as if it's the first day.
If she notices anyone making a mistake, missing or falling out of a beat, forgetting a step or even not smiling properly, she will stop all of us and let us start from the top again.
It was only by pure grace that she have let us have a five minute break after having us do the big group dance at least five times. Because of five people who were either still recovering from the weekend madness or not focus enough when going through the choreography again.
People were either sitting or standing in front of the six up stand fans which almost led to most of them throwing a punch for anyone who was blocking the cool air from the fan.
My friends and I on the other hand prefer to keep our teeth in and untouched by going with lying on the cool wooden floor which is much better personally saying.Drinking from our water bottles while enjoying the cool surface, Daytona's head was on top of my stomach, turn towards me with a weak smile to ask, "So, do you believe us now Jenna? After telling you for at least three or four weeks that today is gonna be the day when Hell breaks loose upon us?"
Rolling my eyes as Kevin and Janelle nod in agreement while hand fanning each other as if that would help cool themselves faster, "Yeah, yeah. I spoke too soon."
It wasn't my fault that I was too use to practising one, two and five choreographies over more than an hour wither they're the same or not. Although today wasn't something that I'd expected since it's my first time to have Mrs Robertson become that one teacher from school who you gets scared for whenever they get angry or super upset. "But I feel alright for the most part of this mor- Kevin, what's the time now?"
Taking his phone out from his pocket before lying his head on Janelle's lap while she started running her fingers through soft curls after getting tired of cooling each other, "It just became 12, so good afternoon everyone."
Daytona and I groan together that we sounded like the living dead unlike Janelle who was the only one out of all of us sighed before taking a big swing of her water bottle, "Wow and here I'd thought the trainings on days of moody Uncle Richie is worse, but look at you guys, by this amount of sweat I see, you could fill five buckets with them."
Turning my head to the side to find a pair of black and white All Stars which belong to the one who left the club for whatever reason before looking up to a handsome, smirking face to say, "Go away, David."
Dramatically gasping with a hand on his chest, "Sticks and stones, Ariel. I'd thought that I'm your friend."
He's been saying that often ever since I told Dad who David McLellan was, like yesterday he was greeting me by 'friend' instead of calling me by that puppy-pet name of his. Still not wanting to call me by 'Jenna' or just 'J' like he had done at our battle, just stick to 'Ariel' for whatever reason behind the name.
