Waking up after a whole day that was so crazy, and upside down, is the worst. As I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to work everything out.
David and Charlotte are triplets and Carter was their brother. Raymond is Carter's cousin and never told me.
Chelsea is Carter's girlfriend, who has a son named Richard Colbe McLellan. David is Wolverine, whom I kissed on the night of a Halloween party four years ago.So many things were running through my mind, it felt like I was free-falling. I want to make sense of everything, but as I tried, another headache appeared. And the worst part, is that David wants to stay away from me as I make sense of it.
The weight of that upon everything else was so unbearable. It was tearing me apart, and all I wanted was to stay in this hotel room. Not wanting to go outside, I just want to hide and be swallowed up.
As much as my body wanted to hide, but heart made me get up. Along with my stomach, reminding me of a special breakfast for today.
Walking through the room's door, opening the fridge's door as Haylie greeted, "Good morning, cuz."
I softly groan a greeting as I take the orange juice's box, "I'm guessing you didn't have a good sleep?"
Shrugging my shoulders as I thought about the question, "I'll take an afternoon nap later."
'That's if I'll be able to sleep peacefully again.' I thought to myself as I drank some juice. My mind is paging through everything that happened yesterday. Still trying to make sense of all of it.
"And you'll be in a better mood?" Haylie asked as she prepared a plate of what looked like an 'English breakfast'. When she was about to dish a third plate, I quickly said, "Not for me, please."
The words nearly made her drop the plate in her hand, staring at me with wide eyes, "No, I'm not sick. I'm gonna have breakfast downstairs with Chelsea."
That caused her to calm down, becoming relaxed before placing the plate down, "Oh, I see."
"So, you and Chelsea are besties again, Jenna?" Cameron greeted me with a kiss on the cheek. Kissing Haylie on her cheek as she took his plate, "Yip, Batgirl and Black Canary are back and are here to stay."
Cameron softly chuckles at the nickname that Chelsea and I used to call our friendship.
Noticing Haylie staring at me with this curious, concerned look, "So, are things between you two all good? Like you two are good for real?"Nodding my head as I poured a glass of juice for Cameron, "Yeah, we talked things out yesterday, worked them out and now we're all good."
I told them about this yesterday already. They both know how Chelsea and I reconnected, how we bonded together, and how we fixed our friendship. I don't understand why Haylie still doubts it.
"Also, why is my juice box already halfway empty?" Cameron asked me, with this look that dares you to lie in his face. He knows that he and I are the only ones who drink orange juice.
And I wasn't ready yet to let them know about the event of last night. So, I gave him the sweetest smile ever as I said, "I ate too many salty chips last night. And drinking water wasn't helping, sorry."
I was surprised that he believed the lie as he said, "You owe me a juice box."
That's when my phone beeped with a notification of a message from Chelsea,
