You were real nervous for Devin to meet your twin boys. You were aware that it might have seemed silly to other people in a relationship. But to you this was a defining moment, if your babies didn't like him you would have a problem on your hands and you wanted nothing more than your 3 favorite boys to like and love each other.

Pulling into Devin's driveway you quickly got out unbuckling your two sleeping 2 year olds. Putting one on each hip you made your way up to the door kicking it a couple of times.

"Babe how are you I was just about to call you. Are these your sons? Devin asked, smiling hugely

Devin had been real excited about this next step in y'all's relationship. He pestered you for months on end about meeting them until you agreed

"Yes, these are my pride and joys. Kiyan and Roman, "

Grabbing Roman who had begun to wake up, Devin turned around walking into the living room where D'Angelo was.

"D'Angelo this is my girlfriend and her boys Kiyan and Roman."

"I Roman!"Your baby, who was now fully awake shouted

This got him a laugh from the basketball players.You had warned him many times to stop yelling inside. But as always it failed.

"Inside voices Roman."you warned causing him to shush real quick.

"Oh, let the boy be he's having the time of his little life."

Giving Roman one last warning glare you turned to see D'Angelo staring at the four of you.

"Hi,How are you?"

"I'm good. And you?"

"I'm amazing."

"So tell me something about yourself. You have to be special, if you got Book to settle down. "D'Angelo said, standing up to move and interact with Kiyan who had finally woken up

"Well, I'm just a few months older than Devin. I'm a mother. I run a blog. I also attended University of Kansas."

"So how did you and Devin meet exactly ?"

Laughing you answered his question "It was after a basketball game. I literally ran into him doing God knows what."

"More like she was trying to run away from one of the players on the Kansas team. I still to this day don't know who she was running from. But she was running for dear life. Had to catch her before she ran into me and my teammates."

"That's not the point baby. The point is we're together."

"Hey, it must have been destiny."D'Angelo answered

"Must have been."

"So how old are these two handsome boys?"

"2" You and Devin replied

That caught you by surprise the fact that he actually learned your sons.

"Look at you Book being a dad."

Looking at him you cracked a broad smile.
"I'm being serious these two are like the cutest boys, I have ever seen. Maybe they can be the next D'Angelo Russell and Devin Booker."

"Thank you, but I cannot get all the credit for the creation of these two. I had some major help."

You knew what question was coming yet so you prepared for the worst.
"Yeah, who's the father you never told me." Devin questioned

"Um... You see the problem. Their father is someone from the Kansas team. I think you might know him." You started

"Really who?"

"Oh you know. This lightskin."

"Baby girl there's a lot of lightskins at Kansas."

"Daddy name is Kelly." Kiyan said proudly

This is what you were afraid of Devin finding out. He would think you hopped from ball player to ball player and that you were a fame seeking female. Which is definitely not the case. Kelly just happened to be your first boyfriend and after a number of events you ended up with two blessings.

"Oh God..." You heard D'Angelo mumble

"Does Kelly's last name happen to be Oubre?"

And there it was the golden question. You hadn't thought the connection would have been made that quickly
Nodding, you turned to grab your sons

"Yes it is. Well, if you all will excuse us, we have to leave. Devin, thank you for everything this was literally one of the best relationships I've ever had but I'm afraid that I can't continue to see you. "

You were half way there when D'Angelo stepped in front of you

"Why are you breaking up with him? Why are you leaving now?" He asked

"I saw y'all's faces when I said that Kelly Oubre was the father of my kids. You know, I know that look anywhere. It's the look of shame that I have two 2 year olds. The look that I'm a fame seeking whore that wants money because I trapped a ball player with not one but two kids. The look of shame that people give me because my children's father is an athlete. Well, newsflash, I never pursued either of them, nor any other famous person. They came to me first and I let Devin know right away that I bore two kids and that I was not ashamed. I'm not ashamed that I have children with a Kelly because that doesn't trouble me. I see the both of them as two regular males that I had the pleasure of dating. I tried to push him away, but it's only so much pushing a young woman can do till she falls for the sweetheart he is. And yes, all of Kelly's friends, fans, girlfriends and family know of Kiyan and Roman. So if you haven't noticed why I'm iffy about being pictured in public with Devin, it's not because I'm embarrassed it's because I have to protect them. It's always about them and their needs."You explained

"Baby no one here is evaluating your past. We are the most understanding and none judgmental people on earth because we recognize what it feels like to be criticized for every little thing."

"Now if you would grant us the pleasure of meeting the three of you correctly, we'd be honored."

"Please mommy we'll be good." Kiyan begged from behind you

"Yeah, we'll eat all our veggies at the table."

Soon you heard Devin and D'Angelo pleading along with your boys as they sank to their knees, pulling their best puppy dog face possible. How could you say no to all this cuteness.

"Only if both Roman and Kiyan promise to eat all their vegetables."

Laughing you grabbed Devin placing a kiss along his lips mumbling a quiet thank you.
That's when you realized that you had your defense guard up against people who were on your side.
"Alright, I've gotten my dream girl twice lets go eat and show these boys how real men eat D'Angelo." Devin said grabbing them both walking off towards the kitchen area

"You know I'm officially their uncle by like a major landslide."D'Angelo said from beside you

"Sure thing Russell. Sure thing."
And in that moment you knew that you had a great man as the father of your children and a great man by your side as your own.
