-Erik-

As we made our way to the ship we were due to travel on to our new lives. I couldn't help but think back on Christine and everything I had done just in the past five months. Who would have thought this would have happened in that short amount of time.

"I'm a monster" I remember saying angrily at Nathalie as she crossed her arms and looked around the lair before looking back at me.

"I see no monster here" she said to me as I glared at her

Stranger than you dreamt it
Can you even bare to look?
(Refer to chapter "behind the mask")

After I had taken off my mask and stood in the mirror..
Nathalie walked up to me slowly..

I shake my head coming from my thoughts as I felt myself frown and glance over at Nathalie who was lost in her own thoughts as she walked.

I couldn't help but sigh as I thought back to the day I first met her. How she flipped around my world so easily. How could one girl do some much in such a short period of time. I shook my head and smiled slightly.

"Are you happy now mademoiselle?" I remember saying coldly at the once stranger to me.

I remembered that night vividly. I had strangled a disgusting man and hung him from the cat walk. I watched as Christine and Roual confessed their love for one another. I remembered the pain I felt. I remembered everything of that night.

But most of all, I remembered the rather distant, mysterious, violinist. Who seemed to be very observant of everything around her, yet not cared for herself.

"Indeed" I remembered her sitting in the snow. How she picked up her journal once again. I remembered the awkward silence.

I looked back to Nathalie as she glanced over at me and smiled warmly up at me. I'd return it with a soft smile.

I remembered standing behind the statue and watching her work on a piece that later on, we worked on together.

I remembered how she would be off in her own world, as she worked on her music and writing. I remembered just how insecure she was when it came to her work and how easily she slid into my heart.

I sighed as I felt Nathalie's hand tighten around mine. I looked to her seeing her look off in the distant as she slowly took hold of my arm. I looked down the road a ways to see a figure standing there... One all too farmiliar to the both of us.

"Your good, you can take her. Think of it as a gift" I thought back on Dominick. The man who stole Nathalie away from me when I thought, that for once. We would be happy.

We stood in his basement, Nathalie, unconscious, weak, sickly, hanging from the wall by chains. Dominick, his straight face staring at me as he sheathed his sword. I remember watching him as he walked to Nathalie who remained unconscious. I fallowed his movements with my sword remembering to be ready for whatever trick he may have pulled. Dominick had started to take down Nathalie.

"What do you want?" I remember saying knowing that he had some secret motive in letting me take Nathalie that day.

"Nothing" Dominick had retorted rather quickly back at me.

"Your spilling lies" I quickly replied trying to hide the fact at the time I was afraid of him hurting Nathalie. More than he already did.

"I'm not" he returned just as quickly looking back at me. There was silence for a few moments before I returned with.
