A Simple Touch

It had nearly a day since Shizuka had been taken as another companion by the Great Dog Demon Sesshomaru. And since then the haunting beauty continued to slump across the back of the two headed demon Ah-Un. Her long flowing raven hair draping over her shoulders nearly touching the grass below.

While riding behind her on Ah-Un's back was Rin. Who couldn't help but to watch Shizuka sleep,hoping she would wake up soon. The young girl had ready formed such a strong bond with the courageous woman. It was unfathomable that such a bond was created so quickly between two individuals. Was it even possible for humans? Demons? Yes. Such as one finding their own soul mate,but something like this among humans was...rare.

Already even Lord Sesshomaru noticed the red string which connected ones who were meant to be apart of someone's lives. And according to Jaken,Rin was connected to the Shizuka. Rin peered up towards the sky above noticing as the sky faded into lovely shades of orange and pink. Telling anyone who happened to gaze upon its eternal beauty that the day was almost over.Rin couldn't help but to smile at its beauty.

She began to humm to herself which was already grinding Jaken's gears. "Silence you annoying child!"Jaken spat in an irritated tone as Rin pouted ever so slightly, complaining that he never let her have any fun. Sesshomaru rolled his eyes,already use to their constant bickering to a point that he would simply tune them out. But today something was different. What caught Sesshomaru's attention was the soft groaning from Shizuka who slowly began to become conscious. She released a ragged breathe before sitting up on the scaly back of Ah-Un,quickly trying to ascess the situation.

Shizuka blinked a few times,hoping it would clear her blurred vision,and she was right. Her pale emerald eyes surveyed the area and situation she was currently in. Noticing she now sat on top of a brown scaly demon. Shizuka stifled back a scream as Ah-Un turned one of its heads to her. Gently bumping it against her hand,almost begging for her to so affection to it. A warm smiled formed on her lips as she found herself patting the demon's head who released a satisfied hiss at her gentle touch. "Your awake!" Rin exclaimed with a smile.

Shizuka turned to sweet Rin before immediately scooping Rin into her loving arms. Whispering how happy she was to know that she was alright. Rin sighed happily soon finding herself nuzzling her face into Shizuka's chest. Loving the motherly aura Shizuka seemed to give off when Rin was around. Jaken sighed lightly,hoping she would remain sleeping until the group returned home. But apparently he would not be getting his wish. "My Lord,the human is awake."Jaken informed the already well awake Sesshomaru who began to slow his pace for the woman. Which was surprisingly for the demon.

He slowed his inhuman speed to a more normal pace,noticing that Shizuka began to climb off Ah-Un. Still abit numb due to sleep so she was abit off at the moment. Weak if you will. Slowly Shizuka stepped off the side of Ah-Un. Immediately a sudden rush of fatigue hit her like a ton of bricks. Before Shizuka could even fathom what was happening,Sesshomaru noticed her slow accent to the ground. Immediately Sesshomaru extended his right hand for her,his arm securely wrapping itself around her delicate waist. Shizuka's unfocused gaze struggled to look upon Sesshomaru.

Who's calm amber eyes now seemed to hold Shizuka captive. She released a small gasp unable to break the alluring gaze of the handsome demon. She soon found herself being carefully hoisted in Sesshomaru's strong arm,placing her back onto Ah-Un. "You should rest."Sesshomaru informed the puzzled Shizuka who couldn't help but to agree to his terms. Allowing herself to be placed back on Ah-Un nodding quietly at the handsome demon. "You.....brought me with you?"Shizuka asked in a confused manner as Rin wrapped her tiny arms around her waist nodding happily to her.

"Uh huh,Lord Sesshomaru said you can come home with us."Rin informed with a smile as Shizuka turned her gaze to Sesshomaru in utter confusion. It was true she had no home,especially right now. And in truth she had never felt more comfortable with anyone besides children. She wanted to be with them,she wanted to be with Rin. And most of all she felt the desire to remain by Sesshomaru's side. She felt their was something hidden beneath his cold exterior. He couldn't be all bad now.....could he?
