He's not your son!

My son is now six months old, and my life is simply great. My baby boy is growing and growing, I am blessed to have my wonderful husband, and my parents have once again become a part of my life. The only down side is that my brother refuses to return any of my calls, emails, or texts. It's difficult to go on without Shane, especially since my son reminds me so much of my brother. My son was blessed with Shane's curls, and I can see that he has that same intelligence in his eyes. The only major annoyance in my life is Ted Dibiase. While he is not nearly as aggravating as he was, he is still very irritating. When he is around Liam, he looks at him like he has been dipped in gold. One night I completely lose it, and I finally let Ted have it.

I walk into my sons room to find Ted holding him. He and Mary had come over for dinner, but somehow under my nose Ted had gone to the nursery. When he notices me, he grins "He has my nose." I feel myself blush as I am once again reminded that Liam is in fact his son. Ted goes on "He has a little bit of you though." I grit my teeth as Ted lifts Liam into the air and kisses his cheeks. Liam giggles with delight, and I can see the grin on Ted's face "It certainly seems that he knows who his daddy is." I take Liam from his arms, and I clutch him to my chest "You are not his father!" Ted smirks "Really?" I frown "You are nothing but a sperm donor. Teddy is Liam's father, and always will be. No matter what you think, or say, you will never be more then the bastard that raped me because of some sick fantasy you had." Ted frowns "A sick fantasy? I like to think of it as more of a prophecy. We all know that our son will be a wrestler. That's inevitable. It's in his blood, Elizabeth." I shake my head "My son will never become a wrestler. I will not let that happen!" Before I can stop him, Ted steps forward so he is pressed against me "We will see about that. When are you finally going to learn: Ted Dibiase always gets what he wants." I shake my head "Not this time. Not my son." He leans forward "Our son!" I stand my ground and I refuse to back down from this bastard, not this time. Ted smirks "Always the fighter." He rubs Liam's head before he leaves the room and goes back downstairs. I look down at my son, and I try to smile "Don't worry sweetie. Everything's okay." He coos at me, and my heart melts. I begin to sing an old lullaby my mother used to sing to me:

From here to the moon and back
Who else in this world
Would love you like that
Love everlasting, I promise you that
From here to the moon and back...

When I finish the song, Liam is fast asleep. Teddy comes into the room "Beautiful." I smile "Do you want to put him to bed?" He nods "Yeah." I hand Liam over to Teddy, and I can see the love shining in his eyes. I consider for one moment telling Teddy everything. I can feel the weight on my heart slowly start to lift up "Teddy..." He smiles at me "Yes?" My mouth shuts as I notice the pure devotion and love in his eyes. Now is definitely not the time to tell him everything. It would crush him. I smile "I'll go clean up the kitchen." As I walk away I feel that same weight fall back onto my heart, crushing it.
