(And an OC Risako)

Shay's point of view:

"Hello." Risako appeared in front of me, her face as hard as usual.

"Hey, Risa! Ready for dinner?"

Risako nodded and when I glanced down at her clothing, I balked. "We can't go into a five-star restaurant with you wearing THAT!" Risako wore her usual attire, consisting of her Kamakura, Japanese ō-yoroi armor. She had armored sleeves, greaves, and Cuisses that rattled slightly when she walked. Her breastplates glinted in the minimal light and I winced. I can't believe she showed up for a dinner, wearing her armor.

"What is wrong with my vesture?" Risako looked down and when she saw a speck of dirt, she rubbed it with her gloves hands, removing the spot.

"Is that better?"

I groaned, glancing at my watch, and sighing. There was no going back now, we were already ten minutes late.

Risako and I stepped into the restaurant, squinting when the large fluorescent lights flashed into our enlarged pupils. When my eyes adjusted, I looked around, as did Risako, with her analytical eyes. We took in the crisp white walls, and the red carpet, looking freshy vacuumed. There was a crystal chandelier hanging above us and gave leeway to just how 'fancy-pants' this place really was. When I glanced back at Risako, she gazed in approval, her eyes flitting every few minutes. "Shay, I think it is in our best interest to continue on our way to the dinner, before Kagome and the others tire." I shook my head, and grasped my clutch bag tighter, grabbing her hand in my own grip.

"Koga is going to be here too, ya know."

Risako's eyes widened, and then when I cracked a smile, she returned to normal, her flushed face turning it's original color.

"I don't see why you try to hide it. You two are obviously in love, although you make it seem very one-sided."

Risako averted her eyes and coughed. "I don't believe it's your business. Now, if you will take us to our table..." Risako's sharp green eyes narrowed and her lips turned downward on one side. She really was new to all this love stuff. I wish she would talk to me more though. I pouted but then sighed and dragged Risako down a few corridors, until I made it to our table. I had arrived before Risako, and put my stuff down to claim a seat, but of course, it was still awkward to walk in.

"Hey! You two are late!" My eyes instantly spotted the perpetrator - Inuyasha.

"You act as if you are any better, delinquent dog," she snorted.

Risako kept a stoic expression as she stared down Inuyasha, and he gladly accepted the challenge.

Someone coughed and I glanced up from their showdown, to see it was Miroku who did it. "Could you two not argue today?" I rolled my eyes and took my seat, wincing when my chair made an audible groan as I pulled it out. Five-star my ass.

"Like you're one to talk," Inuyasha murmured, sitting down. He - much like Risako - decided to wear his normal clothing. Only this time, her wore a pair of traditional Japanese sandals. I wanted to hit him badly. Why didn't anyone want to follow the protocols? Shippo, the adorable little fkx demon I had come to love, even wore a little tux. Miroku, although quite casual looking, wore a suit also, but his tie was loosened, and a few buttons were undone. I grut my teeth and looked at Sango. Thank God she listened to me. She looked ravishing in her green gown. Even Kagome looked beautiful today, and I, of course, looked amazing as well, with a purple wrap dress that hugged my curves and left little to the imagination.
