~~~MALVIKA'S POV~~~
"Shehry Hussain Ko le Gaya toh Tujhe ab koi kaam Nahi hai?" I asked Waqas, annoyed.
It's 11 AM and I have to finalise the articles for this week's print before 2pm and This guy is sitting here, trying to persuade me to go out for lunch with him.
"Haan Nahi hai. Ab chal?" he asked and I sighed. "Kyu?"
"Because even you know that you want to," he said, tapping his hand on my table, "it's either Manik or work for you- have you ever thought of taking time out for yourself?"
That's true; I am either at home, looking after Manik or here, working on articles and column pieces. I rolled my tongue over my lips and sighed. Apne liye time nikal kar karu bhi toh Kya?
"Lunch ke liye poocha hai- shaadi Ke liye nahi," Waqas added and I couldn't help but laugh at the way he wriggled his eye brows. "Ok fine. Give me half an hour?"
He nodded and got up, "thirty minutes is all you have got." Waqas left my cabin and I quickly picked the best pieces to be published.
Within twenty minutes I was outside and there I spotted Waqas flirting with my editor's secretory. She looked like she would faint any moment when Waqas said something to her that I couldn't hear. Boys, I sighed to myself and walked past them.
"How do you even walk that fast in those heels?" His voice soon followed. I stopped and turned around, "wow! Glad you noticed that I left. Weren't you just too busy in there?"
"Oh, Why? Are you jealous?" He smirked, wriggling his eyebrows. I swear I would shave them off is he wriggles them at me once more!
"No!" I rolled my eyes at him and walked over to his car. As soon as he unlocked it, I sat inside. Why would I be jealous?
"Oh come on! You know you were," he teased and I narrowed my eyes at him. "You say that once more and I'll be out of this car."
"Ok fine!" He raised his hands in the air, surrendering, and then drove off.
Soon we reached a lavish restaurant. I tried opening my door but, it felt like it was jammed. "Child lock. Wait," Waqas grinned and quickly got out of the car.
He opened the door for me and very gently brought his hand forward. I took it hesitantly and stepped out. "Why a child lock?" I asked, curiously.
"Because I knew that the jhaansi Ki raani that lives inside you- wouldn't wait for me to come around otherwise," he replied sheepishly, making me giggle, and then led me inside. The tables were only set up for two persons and then it dawned upon me that this restaurant was especially for couples.
"Waqas, it's supposed to be for couples only," I told him and he chuckled. "Toh kuch ghanto ke liye ban ja meri girlfriend. I don't mind," he winked.
"Oh please, you don't match my standards," I boasted, flipping my hair as he pulled the chair out for me.
Waqas sat down and I couldn't help but ask, "girlfriend se yaad aaya- why are you still single?" Waqas shook his head while I took a sip of my drink.
"Because I don't match your standards," his words hit me hard and I chocked on my drink, spilling it all over the table.
What? Shit! No please. No!
