After quickly figuring out his skills, Mordred had successfully gotten down from the life or death peak of the mountain. Though as he thought back he was never really in any actual danger, since if he had fallen off, [soft landing] would've kicked in an he'd have realized his powers. From that point he could've easily jumped down without much worry thus making the initial panic a little redundant.

As he got onto the ground he shifted his gaze to the body of the dead dragon. A large wound was opened at the back of its neck and red blood oozed from it. It no longer breathed or moved; dead in the truest sense of the word. As Mordred's stomach growled he contemplated what a dragon would taste like but immediately discarded that thought.

Since leaving it like this was a little pitiful Mordred decided to burn the corpse. Using one of his high ranking [sorcery] skills, known as [inferno] he burnt the corpse, immediately turning it into ashes. A small spherical glowing orb shot out of the corpse and ascended high into the sky, perhaps it was its fleeting soul?

He offered a silent prayer to it, though it was a shitty lizard at least it was a dead shitty lizard and the dead should be given a moment's thought before being completely forgotten about.

Now then, the next problem other than being lost in the forests was about himself. He checked to see his clothing and they were all same looking to the ones he had known from his game avatar. Also his skills were accessible as shown by his mastery over the [assassin] and [sorcery] skills. He pondered about whether it was possible for him to open any kind of menu, [skills], [inventory], [character menu], etc.

In the game he only needed to press [P] for [player options], or [i] for [inventory] but that was obviously not going to be the case here. He tried various things like moving his hand across, thinking about it hard enough and other such things.

...

"Now way... it worked."

After a while of doing silly it actually worked. He slid down his finger while thinking about the command hard enough and it opened.

No matter how many times he saw his screen it always filled him with joy at how overpowered and maxed out his stats were. He tested out his strength a little by punching a tree and on impact it exploded into a million splinters, not only that the surrounding trees were also complete eviscerated.

He didn't know how strong the residents of this world were, if even there were any, but he had doubts that they could punch a tree to explode.

For the next few hours he stood at the spot going over his [equipment], [inventory] and [skills menu]. He needed to make sure they were all functional and nothing was missed. All of his things were accounted for and could be used at any time, thus there was no problem there, he even tested out most of his skills and they all worked perfectly.

Though he had serious doubts on whether he would ever end up using his 'serious' equipment since they were so overpowered it wasn't necessary. Well, it couldn't hurt to have a fallback plan.

As Mordred was searching through his [inventory] he had chanced upon a certain item.

[Insignia of the Crimson Dragon Lord]

It wasn't any equipment or armor piece, it was a [use] item. In [Hellgana], there was a system known as the 'familiar system' that allowed players to permanently tame a special monster and use them as a sort of partner or pet. The method to obtain them would vary but for the most part every time a monster was defeated there was a very small chance that it would drop an 'egg' that could be used to awaken that monster and it would become the player's companion.
