"I like your house." Michael says trying to break the silence.

"Thanks but it's not mine."

"Who's is it?"

"My mom's new boyfriend."

"Is that why you're here?"

"Yup.." I said

"Where were you born?"

"America."

"That's cool. I have never been there."

"Yeah, I love it."

"Are you going to go back? Like when you finish school here."

"Yeah, that's the plan but who knows. My life never goes the way I want it to."

"Wanna watch a movie?" He asks trying to change the mood.

"Yeah, that's fine."

We decided on a scary movie, The Strangers.

By the end of the movie I was literally in his lap. I was so scared. I look up when the movie was over and see him looing down at me laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"You."

"What did I do?"

"Just when you're scared and mad."

"You find it funny that for the next two weeks I will be sleeping with all the lights on?"

"Yes, I do find it funny."

"Why aren't you scared?"

"I don't get scared."

"There has to be one thing in the world that scares you!"

"Not that I can think of but I'll let you know if I find out."

"Okay I said with a smile."

"What do you want to do now?"

"We could go to my room I have some cool CDs"

"Okay."

I went to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of chips, sodas, and some candy and went upstairs with Michael.

"Your rooms very plain." Michael says staring at my white walls.

"I haven't got a chance to paint it and hang pictures." I explained

"Why so many paint cans?" He said and pointed to the five different color paints cans.

"I want to have one wall covered in hand prints in different colors."

"That's cool when are you going to do it?"

"I don't know. I need help and I haven't asked Kat to help yet."

"I'll help you."

"Really."

"Yeah, I'm serious."

"Want to do it now then?"

"Now." He said shocked.

I nodded my head.

"You want to paint at 1:30 in the morning?"

I nodded my head again.
