The Zodiacs

Snow

First snowfall of the year

"Man, I'm so tired right now!" Capricorn grumbles, rubbing his baggy eyes, a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Right?" Aquarius yawns, also holding a mug in her hand, but hers is full of hot chocolate.

"Are you seriously drinking hot chocolate at 7 in the morning?" Aries comments, peering into Aquarius' cup, his nose wrinkled.

Aquarius gasps, pulling her mug toward her, "Of course!" She exclaims, sounding hurt.

Aries rolls his eyes and Sagittarius and Libra look at him strange along with Aquarius.

"It's not that weird!" Libra mutters, sipping her own mug of hot chocolate protectively.

Another offended sip is heard from Sagittarius as Aries walks away, muttering something to himself. Sagittarius, Libra, and Aquarius ignore him and continue drinking their delicious drinks.

"Mmm....." A voice mutters from the stairs.

The zodiacs all turn and see Pisces stumble down the steps, almost tripping on the last one.

"You guys are so loud....why're you all awake an' way?" Pisces yawns, looking around the room to see Aquarius, Sagittarius, Libra, Aries, and Capricorn.

"I'm usually up this early anyways." Capricorn says with a shrug.

Pisces shrugs and plods over to the couch before flopping onto it sleepily and pulling a blanket over herself.

"I'm still so tired...." She grumbles, peering over her blanket at everyone grumpily.

Aries and Libra chuckle guiltily, scratching their necks. After that, an awkward silence follows where Pisces just scans the room like a creep.

"Okay, well-" Capricorn starts but is interrupted by Pisces suddenly squealing very loudly and leaping off the couch, suddenly a bundle of energy. She had seen the sparkly blanket of fresh snow coating the ground outside.

Her hand shoots out and she points at the snow, her eyes wide and sparkling.

"Snow!" She cries before shooting upstairs screaming, "Cancer! Gemini! Leo! Scorpio! Taurus! Virgo! Come quick! It's snow!!!"

Everyone who was already awake blink a couple of times at Pisces' sudden change of attitude before shrugging it off and waiting for the fish girl to drag everyone else down.

Sure enough Gemini, Cancer, and Pisces appear a second later, all bouncing with excitement and pulling Leo, Scorpio, Virgo, and Taurus behind them.

"Whaaa....? Why are we awake?" Taurus mumbles, half asleep still.

"Gemini! Gemini let go of me!!" Scorpio shouts, irritated. She rips her arm free of Gemini's grasp.

"Snow snow snow snow! There's snow!" Pisces squeals, pulling Virgo and Taurus.

Virgo, Leo and Taurus stop struggling and look at Pisces, "There's.....snow?" Leo asks.

Cancer nods eagerly and let's go of her, "Come on!" She giggles, running out the door.

"We can make snow cones! I'll get the flavors!" Taurus exclaims, sprinting into the kitchen.

"Snowmen!" Leo whoops, following Cancer.

"Snow angels!" Gemini squeals, right behind Leo.

"SNOWBALL FIGHT!" Scorpio cries, and seconds later they are all outside, having the time of their lives eating snow cones, making snowmen and snow angels, and having a snowball fight.

Capricorn looks at the others still inside and shrugs. Everyone inside then continues to sip their drinks, leaving their crazy friends to have some fun.
