CASSY'S POV

I woke up feeling like total and utter crap. I'm exhausted, my head is pounding, the room is spinning, and I'm pretty sure my heart is beating faster then usual. According to the Internet, these are all signs of a hangover. Great.

I groaned and rolled over causing Billie to wake up and say, "Whaaa? Cassy, are you okay?" I heard him get up and come over to my bed and I just covered my face with my hands.

"Ughh yeah, just a good old fashioned hangover," I said sarcastically and I heard him laugh.

"I've had so many of those, don't worry, it gets better," Dad said and I just sighed in response.

I felt him get up and say, "I'll just tell everyone to leave you alone today. I have to go out with the guys anyway and work on a couple songs. Bye sweetheart, call me if you need hangover advice." I gave him a thumbs up and I heard him shut the door. Luckily for me, my curtains were closed and the lights were off, so it was pitch black in here. I think if I see any light for the next couple hours, my head's going to explode. I passed the next couple hours sleeping and hating life before I finally could not fall asleep again. I rolled back over toward my clock and saw it was 2 P.M. I wasn't ready to eat anything yet because the room was still spinning around and around.  Suddenly, I heard my phone vibrate and I picked it up from my side table and squinted at the bright light. I opened a text message from Logan.

Logan: Cassy! I heard what happened last night, are you okay?

Cassy: Yeah, I'm okay. I have a pretty nasty hangover though haha.

Logan: Ooo, that sucks. I g2g, I have something to do, feel better!

Cassy: Kk bye.

I frowned at how brief that conversation was. I thought Logan would care a little more. I shrugged it off anyway and noticed Ryan had texted me also.

Ryan: Hey Cassy, how are you doing? I'm sorry I kinda got you in trouble with your brother last night...

Cassy: Nah it's okay, you did the right thing and helped me out. I can't thank you enough for that.

Ryan: It's no problem, anything for a friend :)

Cassy: Aww thanks, you're so sweet.

Ryan: Hahaha, so I'm coming over later to bring you some good stuff for a hangover. I saw how much you drank last night and I know you probably feel pretty terrible right now.

Cassy: Yeah I feel awful. But you don't need to do that, you've already been so awesome.

Ryan: Nah, I want to. I'll be over at 5 okay?

Cassy: Okay, if you really want to. See you then!

Ryan: Bye!

I locked my phone and set it down. Ryan is such a sweet guy! No guy has ever cared that much for me...well besides my family. I decided to fix my hair a little and I changed into jeans and a sweatshirt so I wasn't horribly disgusting. I went on my laptop for a little while and checked my Twitter. Ever since the tour and everyone finding out that I was Billie's daughter, I've gained a lot of followers. All these fans would tweet me things that ranged from sweet and kind, to rude and nasty. I learned to ignore the hate, and it usually never affected me.

I didn't realize how long I was on the Internet before I heard Adrienne yell, "Cassy, your friend is here to see you." I clumsily made my way downstairs and thanked her. I noticed she had a sympathetic look in her eyes, and I knew Billie had told her everything that had happened. She walked off to the living room and I turned to Ryan.

"Hey, thanks for coming over. Come on in." He walked inside and I noticed he had a plastic bag.

"So whatcha got in there?" I asked and he smiled.

"Gatorade, Mac and Cheese, and a live concert DVD of My Chemical Romance."

I grinned and said, "Sounds amazing, we can hang out in my room." He nodded and we headed upstairs. I flicked on the light in my room and pulled out two beanbags from the corner. Ryan pulled out the Gatorade and macaroni and I slipped the DVD into the player. We sat down and Ryan set up the cheesy pasta into little bowls for both of us. I set down a Gatorade next to him and watched as Gerard pumped up the crowd on the T.V.

"This is amazing Ryan." I said as I dug into the macaroni, forgetting all about my vertigo.

He smiled and said, "Yeah, little secret, I love cooking." I

turned to him and said, "Really?"

He nodded and I gave a little fist pump, "Yay, that means I get to enjoy all this good food." He laughed and we both watched the concert, just enjoying the company of each other. We finished eating and drinking and the DVD finally ended around 7:30. Ryan stood up and said, "I should head home." He packed up his stuff and I helped him throw out the plastic bowls and utensils he had brought. I walked him to my front door and said, "Thanks for today Ryan, it was really kind of you.  And I can never repay you for what you did yesterday, I don't even want to think about what would've happened if Luke had gotten his way..." I trailed off.

"It's fine Cassy, I care about you. I know you would have my back also." Ryan smiled cutely and I giggled.

"See you later Ryan." He waved and I noticed his mom was in the car waiting for him. I shut the door and headed back up to my room. I was so thankful to have Ryan in my life. It was good to know that someone would be looking out for me. I changed back into a comfy pair of pajamas and I realized how exhausted I was. "Well, I made it through my first hangover." I thought as I turned off the lights and clambered into bed. I got under the covers and fell asleep quickly, letting the darkness soothe my pounding heart and head.
