"I wish things were different" I said my lower lip quivering I felt him tensed
"I'm sorry that I love her" he whispered I felt a tear slip from my eyes "I never meant for this to happen" he said
He never meant for us to be mates...ofcourse he didn't everything about him is perfect and I'm...well just me.
"Well that's what second chance mates are for!" I joked through my tears and he looked at me with those cold eyes electricity jolting every strand of my being
"Don't" he warned his hands tightening around mine I took a deep breath "I'm joking" I said biting the inside of my cheek
He shook his head, his raven black hair shaking like silk before I could stop myself I raised my other hand and wove my fingers through his hair...i closed my eyes as I grasped his soft hair
When I opened my eyes I saw him peering at me curiously his long black eyelashes grazing his skin I let my hand fall back to my side "I always wanted to do that" I whispered sheepishly
He chuckled the sound vibrating from his chest reaching me in waves "God...you amuse me" he said and I felt myself redenned
"If you can't love me, I'll take amusing any day" I said smiling up at him, he looked at me his cold dark startling blue eyes meeting my dull one's
He bit his lip softly before pushing me away and jumping off the counter gracefully, he started walking away but he throw his head back at me
"Tell Raven I'm sorry" he said with a slight smile I tilted my head "For punching him?" I asked he shook his head "For everything" he answered
Before walking away...
I slept at the guest room upstairs not wanting to wake Raven up from my room
I woke up before the sun has completely rise which was surprising because when I went up my room I saw Raven goinng out of his room freshly dressed his hair still wet
"Your bruises" I said noticing that his bruises were almost if not completely fadded Raven touched his cheek "Alpha perk" he said with a wink
I rolled my eyes and went to my room to shower I sat at the chair across Raven to eat I was munching on my bacon bits when I noticed Ravenn staring at me
"What?" I asked he took a deep breath "About last night..I'm sorry about the way I acted" he said I nodded my head "Let's just forget about that" I told him
He smirked "Are you sure...cause I want to kiss you so bad" he faked groaned my eyes widened and I glared at him throwing the spoon in my hand that hit his forehead
"By the way" I said while Raven drove to school "Alpha Xavier said sorry" I said and I saw Rave's hands tightened on the wheel
"For what?For sleeping with my mate or for beating the crap out of me?" He asked I gave him a knowing smile "For everything ..atleast that was what he said" I told him
He snorted before parking he car and opening the car door for me I mumbled a thanks before we went inside the school
"Have you heard?" Alice said as I sat at the seat beside her in english "About what?" I asked "The twins are throwing a big party for their birthday" she said "Everybody's invited"
We saw Alpha Xavier walking inside the class with beta Jordan I felt Raven tensed beside me I nudged him with my shoulder to keep him from doing something he will regret later
During lunch neither Gamma Cameron and Jenna were anywhere to be seen "Give it to the twins to not go to school because of party planning" Hail said snaking her hand around Gabe's arm
Gabe shook it off, James Lint frowned at Gabe putting his arm around Hail
"It's going to be one hell of a party" Beta Jordan said with a smirk Raven kept on glowering at Alpha Xavier while Alpha Xavier paid him no mind, his arms crossed as he looked down on Raven
"You're going right?" Alice asked me shifting her body closer to Beta Jordan when Jasmine and dreydon put there trays on the table seating on the empty chairs
"Who wouldn't its supposed to be the biggest party of the year" Jasmine said Alice scowled at her muttering "I wasn't asking you" under her breath
"Yes we are" Raven answered putting his hand on my head forcing me to nod "Right scaredypup?" He asked I slapped his hand away
Sticking my tongue at him, "Cameron's avout to know who his mate is...how about that" beta Jordan said raising his soda filled glass
"I pity the girl honestly" Hail said laughing
After class, Gabe and Alice were both in a hurry saying that they have to get ready for the party which left Raven and I to walk through the halls by ourselves
"That oreo cheese cake would have been delicious" he was saying and I laugh nodding my head "My paella was a killer" I said
"Yeah...food poisoning can kill" Raven said and I glared at him I was about to give comeback when
"I need to talk to her" Alpha Xavier said blocking our way I looked at Raven who frowned at him "Get out of my way" Raven grunted
Alpha Xavier smirked "Careful, I might not go easy on you this time" he warned Raven took a step forward "Scared that I might get you now that I'm not drunk" Raven said
"You're forgetting the fact that I can kill you" Alpha Xavier said "Jenna's mine" Raven whispered fiercely Alpha Xavier tilted his head "You sure about that" he taunted I saw rave curl his hands to ball
I grasped the back of Raven's shirt "Guys seriously...punches makes you ugly" I said Rave turned to me "I'm never ugly" he said with a wink
Alpha Xavier sighed impatiently grasping my arm "I don't want to ruin Jenna's birthday" he said and I felt my knees wobble "So don't go" he said "The both of you" he added looking at Raven who glared
He let go of my arm and walked away bumping my choulder as he did
I can't help but think how much that cold hard demeanor makes him look much sexier than he is
