Chapter 53 - Feather like

I nervously tapped my fist against my jeans clad thighs as we drove towards the club that Hail was talking about,

They were talking excitedly but it all felt distorted as nervousness crept it's way through my heart, needless to say it's my first time to go into a club

Outside the club was what seemed to me an endless line of people, girls with their glittery clothing and shinning lips but we never went through the line Jordan merely whispered at the bouncer and he let us all in, just like that

Inside the club was...liberating smoke fogged my glasses the smell of sweat, beer and something else overwhelmed my senses, a steady beat was playing so loud it made the floor feel like it's pulsing, the dance floor was a sea of people, tangled limbs,flipping hair, and swinging hips

I held tight on Alice's arm who giggled softly we went upstairs a second floor like balcony over looking the entire club, 'VIP' they called it, it seemed tamer here, a series of couches laid in every corner we sat at one of the red plush sofa

They called in a waiter and they ordered hilariously sounding drinks like 'Long Island' ,and 'Sex on the beach' I ordered an iced tea

They started drinking the fiery poison called alcohol and slowly they drifted off the dance floor, coloured smoke started comming out off the sides of the club and the lights were starting to go on and off like twinkling stars

Alice tried to drag me downstairs were the rest were but I politely declined my fear of getting swallowed by thousands of wantonly moving bodies over comming my contempt

I bit at my nails nervously as the waiter came back to ask if I want anymore drinks out of nervousness or mere stupidity I asked for water which the waiter raised his eyebrows at as he walked away chuckling softly

I waited for about 30 minutes or so before the waiter came back with a glass of water "It's Voss, " he said "I'll just add it to your table's tab" he said

I opened my mouth to ask Who's the Voss and what tab but he already started to walk away I drank the glass of water that oddly tasted like the sweet dew in the flower petals right after the rain...not that I have ever eaten petals,...just once with Gabriel

I tried to recount my first and only-sort of- taste of flower petals but the memory died on the tip of my tongue as I noticed a commotion was starting to form on the dance floor
I looked down and tried to clear my glasses and pushed it closer to my eyes which immediately widened when I noticed that Alpha Xavier was about to kill a guy, while Jordan and the rest aren't doing anything to stop him

I rushed down pushing my way through massive sweaty bodies to reach the middle where Alpha Xavier was circling the fair haired guy, his eyes glazing with anger

"What happened?" I whispered to Alice who was watching the scene with intent chinky eyes

"The guy went all pervy with Hail" she answered not looking at me

The guy who was obviously drunk regarded Alpha Xavier with heavy eyes "C'mon man, me and Blondie were having fun" he said and Gabriel glared from the side his eyes full of menace that I didn't know he had

The guy laughed "You have all the good chicks, Ms. Brazil and Ms. Japan's obviously taken" the guy commented Jordan hid both Alice and Jasmine protectively with his back

"You have the hot red head" the guy complained pointing at Jenna who was holding Raven back from joining the fight Alpha Xavier swung his fist on the guys jaw which landed with an awful crack

The guy spat out his saliva crimson "That hurts" he groaned cradling his jaw Alpha Xavier turned away but then the guy straightened cracking his neck and prepared to swung his fist

"Look out!" I yelled loudly in warning Alpha Xavier moved in a fast graceful blur he caught the guy's fist and twisted it to the guy's back kicking the guy flat in the spine the guy fell on the floor half laughing

"Thanks a lot sweetheart" he told me sarcasticaly as he tried to get off the floor "I can settle for Nerdy over there, those glasses are doing it for me anyway" he said giving me a grin flashing me his blood stained teeth

Alpha Xavier let out an animalistic growl that sent a good pleasurefull shudder to me he grabbed the guy by the collar and enclosed his hand around the guy's neck with so much strength that the guy's feet swept off the found a few inches

"Cedric stop provoking him, you're talking to Xavier Black" A broad shouldered guy says entering the scene, the guy that Alpha Xavier held by the neck suddenly wore a look of panic his face draining of color

"I'm sorry" he squeaked his eyes wide Alpha Xavier took a deep breath and dropped the guy not too gently the guy scampered away blood dripping off his chin

I looked at Alpha Xavier who's eyes looked murderous Jenna tried to calm him but he shook her off, heading staight towards the exit

I don't know what made me but  suddenly I felt my feet moving at their own accord I followed him out running after him as he continued to walk away he stopped in a parking lot where no one but a few cars are

I stopped running and tried to catch my breath "Where are you going?"I asked him he looked at me the anger in his eyes fading slowly to my surprise he flung his fist against the wall which crumbled with the impact

"I could've killed him" he mumbled softly "No you wouldn't have" I told him reassuringly "You don't know that" he said his voice strained as he leaned hid back against a black Pajero

"I don't know a lot of things...but I know that you wouldn't have" I said walking infront of him

"Why are you so sure?"  He asked ever so slowly taking a step towards me I took a step back "I know you" I said looking right into his curious blue eyes

His eyes lost its curiosity as the words left my mouth his blue orbs reflected control, like he's building up barriers to keep me away, like he's keeping himself from doing something...

He took another rushed step towards me and clasped my forearms, my eyes widened in surprise as he leaned his lips a ghost against my cheek, this time it wasn't sparks that made my knees feel weak

It's the warmth that filled my every being, that crawled into my heart that made me want to fall, then his soft lips touched my skin a feather like kiss that took my breath away

My lips parted as my heart jumped with celebration, "What was that for?" I asked breathlessly as he pulled away

"For knowing" he said with a smile not a smirk, but a smile and I'll be damned if it didn't made my very soul soar away from my body, he walked away after that

I held unto the Pajero for supportha my other hand on my cheek thst he just kissed, then I laughed I was laughing so hard that I was crying, who knew happiness can be so over flowing that it won't even fit inside your heart anymore and you just dissolve into tears
