"Oppa! Happy birthday!" Seokmin's younger sister, Lee Jimin, exclaimed energetically.

Jimin ran into her older brother's arms as she saw him approach the entrance of the restaurant that they were going to be eating in for dinner. Seokmin stumbled back and laughed, hugging her back.

"Thank you Jimin. How was your day?" Seokmin asked, smiling warmly at Jimin.

"It was nice! I missed you though. Where were you?! And who's this?! Is this your boyfriend? Did you spend your entire day with him?! Is that why you didn't spend time with me?!" Jimin whined, glaring at Jisoo.

"Um, hi, yes! I'm Seokmin's boyfriend. I'm sorry that your brother didn't get to spend that much time with you today. He and the rest of our friends were celebrating together. Please forgive me?" Jisoo spoke up, grinning at the younger girl sheepishly.

Seokmin laughed silently as Jimin scanned Jisoo from top to bottom. It was as if she was analyzing him, and it was one of the cutest things Seokmin had ever seen his devil of a little sister do.

"Hm, well, he sure is pretty. Why is someone as pretty as him dating you, Seokmin?" Jimin asked. Seokmin choked on his spit, and Jisoo laughed at him with Jimin.

"Wow, your sister is great, Seokmin! Jimin, was it? Hello, I'm your older brother's boyfriend, Hong Jisoo," Jisoo said, sticking a hand out for Jimin to shake.

Jimin beamed at Jisoo and shook his hand, seeming pleased that Jisoo wasn't treating her like a small child. Seokmin's heart melted at the sight, but he didn't show it, choosing to reply Jimin's rude remark instead.

"I hate you both," Seokmin muttered, coughing and rubbing his throat to make his voice deeper to try to seem intimidating.

Jisoo and Jimin chuckled mischievously and walked into the restaurant together, striking up a casual conversation as Seokmin walked behind them. Seokmin smiled happily. So far, his birthday was turning out to be the best one ever.

After eating at the restaurant, Seokmin, his family, and Jisoo went back to his house for cake. Remember when Seokmin said that he was having an amazing birthday? After going back home, Seokmin decided that this was actually the worst birthday ever. He stuffed his face in his palms, letting out an embarrassed groan as his boyfriend and the rest of his family laughed at him.

The rest of Seokmin's family, which consisted of his mom, his older sister, and his mom's boyfriend, had instantly taken a liking to Jisoo. At first, Seokmin was glad that his family approved of Jisoo and that his boyfriend was easily able to warm up to Seokmin's family as well.

However, as the night progressed, and the mood got lighter, Seokmin's family and Jisoo got closer, which explained the current predicament that Seokmin was in. His mother and older sister were telling Jisoo embarrassing stories from Seokmin's childhood.

"No way, did he actually lock himself in his room just because he cursed in front of you?!" Jisoo laughed, burying his face into Seokmin's shoulder and squeezing Seokmin's hand.

"He did! I think he even cried out of fear that night!" Seokmin's mom responded, chuckling loudly herself. "Oh, and another time, we were at a public sauna–"

"Mom! Stop it! It's my birthday, stop trying to embarrass me in front of my boyfriend!" Seokmin interrupted, glaring at his mom with red cheeks. His mother pouted.

"I'm just having fun, Seokmin. Don't be so uptight! Here, have some more cake," his mom offered. Seokmin huffed and turned away.

"Aw, don't be like that, Seokmin," Jisoo said, kissing a spot underneath Seokmin's jaw and resting his head on Seokmin's shoulder again. Seokmin blushed and shifted awkwardly in his seat as his mother cooed at them.

"Hey, do you want to see Seokmin's baby pictures?" Seokmin's older sister, Hye-min asked, shooting Jisoo a mischievous grin.

"Yes, please!" "Hye-min, no!"
