Hey guys! It's Thursday! My favorite day of the week! (all though it's only 12:57 am) So far, I seem to be following my schedule pretty well. All the stories got updated this week! Anywho, The picture at the top is for ValdezSwag21's book "The Black Consort". I recommend you read what's up so far!
(Also, as I said, sorry if it's a little more lighthearted than you might expect. I was doodling, and came up with this, so that's what I've got)
You'd think telling Leo that you liked him back would be easy. After all, he did confess first. Well, that definitely wasn't true. Whether it was because Leo was trying to subtly avoid you, or because when you were together, the time was never right, you just couldn't say it.
You sighed, and gave up trying to make eye contact with Leo from across the dining pavilion. Though you probably would've continued had your brother, Kyle not elbowed you in the ribs by accident.
At the Apollo table, people were always so cramped.
That man sure gets busy. You thought. You had way too many brothers and sisters way too close in age.
You scarfed down the rest of your breakfast and headed out to the commons area.
You laid in the grass under a tree and looked up at the clouds. They were big and fluffy, and were creeping slowly through the sky.
"Can I, uh. . .sit?"
You turned to look at the person who had spoken. It was Leo.
"yeah, sure, sit." You replied, patting the grass beside you.
It was silent for longer than you would have preferred.
You deliberated on whether or not to just come out and say it. Gods, why was this so awkward? He said it first!
"So, Leo. . ." You ran your hands through your hair nervously. "Um, about. . .the other day?"
"Eugh, geez. I was hoping you may have forgotten." He said. His voice sounded resigned.
"Um, well, I just wanted to tell you that. . .uh. . ."
How do you say this without sounding like a complete dork?
"What's that?" He asked. "Can you speak up a bit, sonny?"
You almost started to laugh. This whole thing was just so ridiculous.
"Well, Leo. . .I. . . I like you. Okay? And I mean, you said you liked me, so I was like, eugh, and I knew you had said it first, but I just couldn't say anything without sounding--"
Leo covered your mouth with his hand. It was cold and clammy, as though he had been as anxious as you had lately."
"You talk way too much." He grinned, and you did the same.
You pulled his hand away from your mouth, and threw your arms around his neck.
You were hugging for a long time. It was comforting to feel his warm arms wrapped around you.
Eventually though, you broke apart, and laid back together in the grass.

You and Leo had gone back to being friends. You were okay with that. There was nothing quite as great as the status quo. of course, within the status quo, there was always room for improvement.
You had always thought if people confessed their like, and the other returned the feelings, they'd just automatically start dating. Of course, now that you thought about it, it was pretty stupid.
