Child! Scout x Child! Reader Part 2

Scout and his Ma arrived at the hospital where (Y/N) was staying. He quickly got out of his car and impatiently waited for his Ma to stop talking on the phone with Francis. What would I even say to her? Scout thought. Hey, sorry for making you go to the hospital? I won't do it again, I promise? His Ma got off the phone.
  "Okay, sweetie! Time to see your girlfriend!"
"SHE ISN'T MY- ugh, whatever," Scout grumbled. I'm not ready for this...

(Y/N) woke up to her father watching TV in the hospital room. He had the remote on a high volume and it didn't help that he was watching a show with war in it. When he noticed that (Y/N) was awake, he asked her how she felt.
"Tired. You woke me up too early," she complained. Her father chuckled.

"Okay, anything else?"

"My head still hurts a little..." He nodded and got up. The staff at the hospital had already brought breakfast for the two. He brought the tray it was on and put it on her lap.

"Eat up! You'll be having a long day today." There was a knock at the door. "Hm...I guess that's your mother...she's here early..." He got up and walked to the door. (Y/N) paid no attention to him as she ate her breakfast. "Hey, (Y/N)! You have a visitor!"
(Y/N) looked up from her food, confused. A visitor? Who would come here this early in the morning?
  She gasped when she saw the boy from the day prior come in. He and his mother came in, smiling. The boy walked over to her side as his mom and her dad talked.

"Hey," he greeted. "Are you (Y/N)?"

"Yeah, I'm (Y/N). Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm Scout. The best baseball player in the world!" (Y/N) giggled.

"Are you sure? I'm sure I'm better than you at baseball!" She exclaimed, rolling her eyes. Scout laughed.

"Oh yeah? We'll see about that!" They  smiled. "Anyway...I came here to say...uh...I'm sorry about what happened back at the game."

"Hmm? Oh. That..." (Y/N) smiled. "I forgive you!"

"Really?!"

"Yup. Apology accepted!" Scout smiled. "You seem like a really cool guy, Scout," (Y/N) told him. "We should hang out sometime."

  "Ha! That'd be cool! Just don't let my brothers know! They'd say that you were my girlfriend!"
"Girlfriend? Haha! Why don't we just say I am? I am your girl friend after all!"

They laughed and began to talk for an hour, happily getting to know each other. However, a nurse arrived to take (Y/N) to an X-Ray and Scout had to leave. Before he walked out of the door, Scout looked back at (Y/N) and smiled.

"Bye, girlfriend!"

"Haha. Bye, boyfriend! See you on the baseball field!" (Y/N) has never been this excited for a baseball game in eons.
