Chapter 8 - 'He obviously doesn't want you'

"Fuck off!" I reply. I get a chuckle in reply, and wait for him to do something. Nothing happens so I look over my shoulder and watch as Hunter calls for Tiffany. I turn back to see what she does and see that she is looking at me. She starts forward but I step into her path. She tries to evade me but I grab her arm, making her turn her head to look at me. Her eyes betray her fear.

"Let go." She says quietly, trying to be firm but failing. I raise my eyebrow and step closer to her. I hear footsteps walk closer to us.

"You better listen closely bitch, because I'm not going to say it again. You're going to stay away from him or I will personally rip you limb from limb. Got it?" I ask, getting closer to her face. She stares at me defiantly.

"Look, I don't know what is going on, but he obviously doesn't want you, and never will." She says. I grip her arm tighter, making her wince.

"Yeah you're right; you don't know what's happening, so stay the fuck out of it. What are you still doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be expelled?" I ask her.

"Well, obviously I'm not." She replies smugly.

"You're a bastard." I hear Hunter shout at Reid. I turn around to see Reid looking confused.

"What did I do?" He asks.

"You may have lost your memory, but it doesn't mean you have to be rude about her." Hunter says, getting angrier. I hear murmurs coming from the field, and realise that the rest of the two classes are watching our interactions. I leave Tiffany and walk over to Reid and Hunter getting in between them. I push Hunter back.

"Stop it. Kyle's made him forget about his feelings and may have prevented them." I explain to Hunter.

"It doesn't mean he has to be rude." He replies, looking down at me with an annoyed look. I smile slightly at how much he cares.

"You're both mad." Reid comments. I turn back around to Reid and put a hand on my hip.

"You may not remember it, but you used to like me. Our first official date was at the beach you found when you were escaping from the cops; it was one of the best times of my life. I will get you to remember, even if it is the last thing I do." I tell him. For a minute his eyes change. He no longer is looking at me with hatred, but instead is looking at me like he did before he died. He walks towards me.

"Reid?" I ask, but the moment is gone. Reid steps back, and looks away to where I left Tiffany. It can't have been Kyle that made Reid forget because if it can be overridden, even for a small amount of time. The person who did it was inexperienced.

"Tell Jake, Leo and Liam I want to see them when they come home." Reid says to Hunter before walking to Tiffany. I hear Reid ask for her number, before leaving. I turn to Hunter.

"We may be able to get his memories back." I tell him. He looks disappointed for a second before changing it to happiness.

"That's great." He says, but I can tell he doesn't mean it fully.

"Girls and Mr Stone, go to the principal's office now."

"Why are you just saying it now?" I ask. Mrs Karmen shoots a scared look to where Reid walked off. That answers that. I groan and start back towards the school. I reach for Hunter's hand, and as he grasps it I hear a voice in my head. Not Kyle's. No, it was Reid's.

"Scar! I am so sorry for everything!"

What is going on with Reid? One minute he can't remember her and hates her, and the next he is telling her he's sorry.
