"Amanda" Ziva smiled as the 15 year old who was sitting at Gibbs' desk when she walked in "Hi Ziva, I'm moving today" she smiled sadly playing with her fingers "I'm sure your new family will be nice" Ziva smiled writing down a couple numbers and giving the paper to Amanda "but if you ever need any of us these are our numbers" she hugged her then watched her pick up her rucksack and walked to Gibbs who was waiting to take her to her old house.
Gibbs drove Amanda to her old house so she could pack up some of her clothes and photos to take to her new home. Her old room was covered in photos of her, Michelle and their family, she packed up as many of her clothes as she could, most of her photos then a box of things from her childhood.
They got back into Gibbs' car, it was already 2000 so Gibbs' told Amanda to sleep on the way but she was super nervous it took her over an hour for her to fall asleep but she eventually did and Gibbs just kept driving.
Amanda woke up after 0700, she recognised the room she was in, it was the one she had been staying in at Gibbs' house. This was Gibbs' house, she looked around confused she didn't remember getting here or falling asleep at all.
Her bags where at the bottom of the bed, her room wasn't huge. It had a bed, shelves, a dresser, a desk and a small chair underneath the window. She wandered down the stairs where Gibbs was unpacking a bag of shopping.
"Morning Gibbs" She said unsure "Morning Amanda, did you sleep well" he asked finding her a bowl "Yes thank you, why am I here" she asked taking the bowl from Gibbs and trying to find a spoon "I thought it would be best if I adopted you myself" he told her passing her the lspoon she couldn't find "So I can stay" she paused "Yes, Jenny will be in later" he passed her the box of cereal "How did you know these where my favourite" she asked pouring herself a bowl Gibbs only smiled at her and gave her the lacto free milk, which she took and looked at him again.
She ate her breakfast then went up to her room to unpack her bags, she put all her clothes in the dresser and the rest of her things around the room which made it look more like hers.
"Amanda" Gibbs called up the stairs "Yes" she called back "We have a case do you want to come or stay" he asked "Can I come" she said walking out her room "Of course, bring something to do" he said getting his shoes on She got her rucksack and filled it with a couple books, her phone, headphones and some money.
"I'm ready" she smiled at Gibbs who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs, they drove in near silence to NCIS.
"Hey Amanda, I thought you had moved" Ziva asked confused "I have" she smiled taking a seat at the spare desk, the bullpen now had 8 desks (for Gibbs, Tony, Tim, Ziva, Clayton, Jenny, Ellie and the spare desk for any of the kids) Ziva didn't say anything else she just waited for Gibbs then left with Kai and Tali for ballet classes.
Tony got in a couple minutes late and caught up with the team while Gibbs directed Amanda to Abby's lab.
"Hey, uhm Abby" Amanda asked from the door "Oh hi, Amanda" Abby said turning the music down and taking the jar stack down
Abby painted Amanda's nails black while they waited for mass spec to beep, once it did Abby left Amanda at her desk. Amanda got out a couple books and started to read.

Gibbs and the team got back 2 hours later so Gibbs walked to tell Amanda she could come back to the bullpen, he prayed Abby hadn't done anything to her.
"Amanda" he called walking into Abby's lab "Through here" she called getting up and going towards him "What did Abby do to you" he sighed "She didn't do anything" she said confused "Your nails" he said "Abby, I did not want my daughter vandalised" he glared at Abby "She wanted them done" Abby said defending herself while Amanda just stood there, he called her his daughter.
An hour after they went back to the bullpen Ziva came back with Tali and Kai who joint Amanda at the spare desk, Tali sat on the desk and Kai sat on Amanda's lap. Amanda played with them until around dinner time when Jimmy walked in with Victoria
"Sorry Agent Gibbs, Breena caught the flu at work today" he stuttered and mumbled "Okay Palmer leave her up here" Gibbs smiled as Victoria ran of to Kai and Tali.
"Thank you agent Gibbs" Jimmy said hurrying away "Just Gibbs" Gibbs called after him
Amanda happily played with all three girls until 1800 when Gibbs decided it was enough for the night, Amanda waited with Victoria until Jimmy came up then left with Gibbs and Jenny.
Jenny cooked a basic meal for the three of them, it was pasta with some kind of sauce. Gibbs and Jenny exchanged a few words throughout the meal while Amanda sat there thinking. Had he really meant it when he said she was his daughter, was she already attached to him, was she.. "Amanda" Gibbs said waving his hand in front of her face"sorry Gibbs" she apologised clearing the table.
Later that night Gibbs was working in his basement and Amanda was laying in bed only half asleep. Jenny silently slid on Amanda's bed who jumped a little "hey" Jenny smiled kissing the top of her head "Hi" she mumbled back "What's up" Jenny asked wrapping her arm around Amanda "Nothing" Amanda insisted "Are you sure" Jenny asked again "no" "Gibbs told Abby I was his daughter" Amanda said staring at her ceiling "What's wrong with that" Jenny asked pulling her closer "I don't know if meant it or not" she said playing with the hem of Jenny's sweater "I'm sure he did" Jenny smiled in the dark.
That was the position they fell asleep in.
