Following Tali

34 - Court

Abby was needed for evidence so at 0600 Ziva carried a half asleep Kai to the Palmers house. As soon as she got back she dressed Tali in a cute little dress and wore her own suit style thing, Tony got up a couple minutes later and also changed into his court suit. Abby stopped by to wish them luck but she couldn't stay long due to 'cross contamination of evidence'.

Ziva gripped Tali's hand as they walked through the building, they filed in with all the other people, the jury, observers, defenders, ect. They sat behind the witness podium along with Gibbs and Amanda, Kayla and Vance. Jenny wasn't coming for personal reasons and Jared was at his friends for the day.

"Everyone please settle, all mobile phones and filming equipment to be turned off and put away now" The jury instructed, Ziva had to take her phone away from Tali, Ziva hoped she wouldn't get upset or notice Harry yet
"Thank you, we will start with a quick review of the case" The Jury ran through a whole list of information about the case that Ziva already knew off by heart
"Please can we have our first witness Kayla Vance at the stadium" Kayla stood up and answered all the jury's questions , naturally she was reduced to tears by the end
"Thank you Kayla next can we have Amanda Lee" ... Silence ... "Oh sorry Amanda Gibbs isn't it" this time Amanda stood up to the stadium, again like Kayla she was reduced to tears
The 'Harry' guy had been sitting in the opposite side watching, clearly not caring that he was going away for this
"And finally can we have our final witness Talia David-DiNozzo" Ziva led Tali over to the stadium
"It's Daveed by the way" Ziva smiled helping Tali onto the stadium
"Sorry Miss David" the jury apologised as Ziva left Tali to sit down.

"Hello Talia can you start by telling us your name" The jury asked her sweetly
"Tali" Tali said
"Okay Tali do you recognise this man" The jury asked pointing to the man opposite from Tali.
Tali shook her head no then stopped abruptly and tears started pouring from her eyes faster than you could blink "Ima make him stop, it hurts" Tali cried sitting on the floor
Ziva knew she wasn't meant to go to Tali while she was testifying but this looked like extreme circumstances to her.

"It's ok Tali, Ima's here now" Ziva cooed cradling Tali
"Make him go away mummy" she begged
"Ok Tali but you need to answer the nice woman's questions before I can" Ziva said knowing she couldn't make him go unless they got her account of what happened
"Is miss Tali okay" the jury asked after a few minutes
"Yes" Ziva answered
"Ok, I'm giving Miss Ziva David permission to stand with her 4 year old daughter Talia David-DiNozzo" the jury said mainly for recording purposes
"Who were you with when the event occurred" the jury asked, Ziva repeated the question to Tali who gave her answer to Ziva
"She says Amanda and Kayla" Ziva told the jury
"I need her exact words please miss David"
"Ammy and Kayl" Ziva said again.

The jury continued with what felt like thousands of questions until she was finally happy with all the answers and sent Tali back to her seat. About half the court left for break which lasted half an hour.

"We have come to the conclusion that Harry Brook-Cruz is guilty of Adultry, Abuse, Abduction and Detainment of Talia David-Dinozzo, Amanda Gibbs and Kayla Vance"

That was it he was found guilty

Tali was happy enough sleeping when they where about to leave, Abby was walking beside them and Gibbs was with Amanda but they hadn't left yet. Tony stopped to readjust Tali but Ziva didn't, when she got to the door that was when she saw him. Him, the guy who abused her daughter.

That was it for her, he was out of cuffs and freely walking out the building so she lurched for him, screaming and shouting they rolled around the floor. No one knew what to do there she was scrambling over what looked to be a random guy. She pulled out her gun and pressed it deep into his chest but her finger hesitated at the trigger and he took the chance to roll out from beneath her and snatch her gun and aim it at her. Although it wasn't long till she was back on top of him with the gun to his chest but again she stopped at the trigger which left time for
Gibbs and Abby to jump in, they both hated him as much as her so they didn't want to pull her away, they saw her land a couple good punches first but they did have to pull her away. They struggled to get between the two of them but once they did a couple police officers re cuffed Harry and Abby held Ziva back while Gibbs helped as much as he could and tried to talk to Amanda at the same time.

Ziva was still screaming at him after they pulled her away but once she had calmed down she examined the damage she caused, he had one black, swollen eye, a swollen lip and multiple other bruises while Ziva only had one bruise from his right hand gripping her arm. Ziva was sure he would get a bruise from how hard she pushed the gun into his chest but why couldn't she pull the trigger?
