Beca:
It's the weekend and I still haven't told Chloe anything about me liking her. I've done the complete opposite and ignored her. What is wrong with me?! I needed to talk to her, I can't just ignore this for the whole year!
'Hey Chlo, Want to meet me at the big lake near your house? Want to talk to you❤︎ ' I texted her
She texted back a few minutes later saying yes. It was a little cold today so I put a sweater on, I don't usually wear sweaters but thought I might for a change. I took my phone off charge and headed downstairs. Mum was home now, probably for a few days before going off again. I haven't really spoke to her since I have been at school or out with friends. Mum was in the kitchen and Ruby was in the living room.
"I'm going to meet Chloe, Be back later" I told Ruby
"Have fun bug" She smiled
I returned the smile and headed out the door. Mum can find out where I'm going from Ruby. It's not like I didn't want to talk to her but she has been busy with paper work and I will just get moaned at for being annoying or for distracting her.
Once I got to the lake I seen Chloe sitting on the wall. I jumped up on the wall and sat next to her. She could have sat on the lower part of the wall? I am shorter than her does she not know?
"Hey, I just needed to see you and talk to you. I have been wanting to speak to you about this all week but I have been stressing and worrying what you would say or how you would react. I've done this before and people just ended up hating me for it-"
"You don't want to be friends anymore?" Chloe cut me off
"No! Don't be silly. You are my best-friend and I would not be able to loose you now. I was going to say that I like you. Like more than a best-friend. I know we have only been friends for a like 4 months but I really like you Chloe. You don't have to like me back because of course you probably don't. That's okay since I'm not like other girls. I mean I'm not a girly girl, I prefer penny boarding over shopping and pizza movie nights instead of having some girly sleep over gossiping about boys and make-up" I said quickly
"Bec! Slow down. One, you are perfect the way you are and I'm glad you aren't like other girls and two"
Then she kissed me. Well I did not see that coming! I of course kissed back. I like Chloe. I really do but I'm not ready for a relationship just yet! I knew I shouldn't have said anything because now she will think I led her on or something like that! Shit!
"I like you. I really do otherwise I wouldn't have kissed you back. But I don't think I am ready for a relationship just yet. So I think it would be best to stay best-friends until we feel like we are both ready? I don't want you to think that I have led you on or anything because I haven't. Well I don't like to think I have because I really want to date you, just not at this moment in time. I think we should stay friends for longer and get to know each other that little bit more before going into anything serious, please understand that? I don't want you to be angry with me" I told her
"That is absolutely fine Beca. If you feel like you aren't ready then we will remain friends until the time is right. I wouldn't be angry about something like this. Both people need to be ready. I agree with you, we should stay friends and get to know each other a bit better. We are not even half way through the year yet so it's one hundred percent fine. It won't change anything. You will still be my best-friend. I'm glad that you have told me this" She told me
I smiled and gave her a quick hug. Chloe got off the wall, grabbed my phone from my shorts pocket and placed it against a rock that was behind us. She wanted a picture to have as her lockscreen. Once the picture had taken we both got off the wall and looked. It was cute! I posted it on Instagram since I wanted it on there so I can look back and remember it. I tend to delete pictures in my camera roll so putting it on social media is easier so I will never delete it.
